Iconic drivers part of My Team for Deluxe Edition
The F1 2021 Icons listed above are part of the My Team mode in the upcoming video game. This particular mode involves creating your own Formula 1 team and then competing alongside the “established 2021 driver lineup” in the game. The mode allows gamers to control aspects such as choosing livery and engine supplier to hiring teammates from F1 or F2.
F1 2021 video game arrives on July 16 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and on Steam. There will be a Standard Edition available for $59.99, similar to most standard-priced sports titles.
Per EA, the Standard Edition includes the “Braking Point Content Pack, a set of exclusive in-game items inspired by the new story experience’s fictional stars, and 5,000 PitCoins.” However, the Icons are not included in this edition.
To get the F1 2021 Icons, gamers should pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game for PlayStation 4, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S consoles, or via Steam. It currently carries a pre-order price of $74.99 for these particular platforms.
In addition to the F1 2021 Icons Pack, it also includes the bonus content of 18,000 PitCoin Virtual Currency to spend in the game and a Braking Point Content Pack. If that wasn’t enough, three days early access to start playing the F1 2021 racing game is also part of the deal.
See more details about the bonus items, prices, and ordering information at the F1 video game pre-order page.
F1 will be EA Sports’ first Formula 1 title since 2003. In addition to the F1 2021 video game, EA Sports has several other major titles coming in the next year or so. That includes the EA Sports PGA Tour and the return of an EA Sports College Football title.
