A new mod for Fallout 4 has been released on NexusMods which adds a new player home to the game. Although it’s not the largest of mods, the project boasts impressive attention to detail; the new player home is based on the bunker which appears in the film “10 Cloverfield Lane”. The mod is entitled “111 Cloverfield Lane – Cloververse Inspired Player Home”.
The 111 Cloverfield Lane Bunker Mod
The new 111 Cloverfield Lane mod is the work of a modder who goes by “Wandering Ranger”. The small but detailed mod adds a new player home to Fallout 4, which is located behind the starting house in the Sanctuary settlement. After downloading the mod, players can find a key to the bunker in a dresser inside the house. The new bunker home contains a chem station, cooking stove, and a power armor station, as well as armor and weapon workbenches; fully stocking it for use by a player. All of the crafting stations feature linked storage and custom textures. The interior furnishings also have custom meshes and textures, giving the bunker a unique look.
The 111 Cloverfield Lane bunker is a reference to the bunker which featured as the setting of the film “10 Cloverfield Lane”, and it’s littered with references to the movie. The interior layout and furnishings are likely to be immediately recognizable to anyone who’s seen the film. Beyond the references, however, the home is eminently functional. It’s likely to be a useful base of operations for most Fallout players.
Players who want to download the 111 Cloverfield Lane mod will need the Nuka World DLC; the mod makes use of assets from that expansion. Wandering Ranger lists a number of known bugs on NexusMods, but has already released a couple of patches for the mod. It’s also important to note that the mod may conflict with other home mods set in and around the starting house in Sanctuary.
