Last month, the team behind the ambitious Fallout 4: New Vegas unveiled their first gameplay demo; a ten-minute demo featuring Fallout: New Vegas’ opening and character creation, recreated in Fallout 4. The mod team recently announced that they would be expanding, and their latest update gives more detailed info on what roles they are looking to fill.
The Latest Update From Fallout 4: New Vegas
Fallout 4: New Vegas appears to be moving into a new stage of production after the release of their demo. Due to the result of a decision made by Bethesda last year relating to another similar mod project, the Fallout 4: New Vegas team cannot take lines of dialogue from Fallout: New Vegas and put them in Fallout 4. In the case that resulted in that ruling, another project aiming to rebuild Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 shut down. In Fallout 4: New Vegas’ case, the team has decided to re-record the entirety of the game’s dialogue themselves.
As a result of that decision, the team is seeking to bring on a team of voice actors. Their latest update covers a variety of changes; “Team F4NV has been growing and changing over the last few weeks,” explains their latest update; “with a number of new team members joining us and helping to take care of new tasks within our team, including some folks that have some great new content we’ll hopefully be able to showcase in the immediate future.”
The update goes on to clarify the roles which the team is seeking to fill. First of all, the team clarifies that they are not looking for any additional 2D artists or web designers, as their teams for these roles are full. Moreover, they reiterated that they have no intention to recruit a testing team. However, they are looking to bring on additional animators, 3D asset creators, voice actors, and level designers.
