Until November of 2018, Fallout 4 was available on the Xbox Game Pass library. However, with the launch of Fallout 76 in mid-November, Fallout 4 was removed from the subscription service, just a few months after its addition. However, it has now been announced that Fallout 4 will be returning to Xbox Game Pass in the March lineup; specifically, on the 14th of March.
Fallout 4 Will Return to Xbox Game Pass Later this Month
“Returning to your Xbox Game Pass library in a shiny set of Power Armour,” reads the announcement on Xbox’s website; “Fallout 4 drops you back into the Commonwealth as you set out to search for your missing son. Explore the wasteland, fight vicious Deathclaws and gain new abilities to help shape the fate of a post-apocalyptic Boston. The more you explore, the more you discover, so be sure to scour every inch of the game’s huge map. After all, there will always be another settlement that needs your help.”
Fallout 4’s return to Xbox Game Pass comes shortly after the addition of Just Cause 4 and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which are available from today. Next week, on the 14th of March, Fallout 4 will be returning to Xbox Game Pass in the second batch of the March lineup, alongside F1 2018. It’s unknown whether it will be a permanent addition, but it seems likely to be. The removal of the game from the service in November was most likely done to incentivise sales of the new title. Now, months later, that is less of a concern for Bethesda, especially given the game’s troubled launch.
The Xbox Game Pass service is a subscription service which costs $9.99 per month. Currently, the service’s library includes over 200 different games. Some of these titles are permanent, while others come and go on a rotational basis. Currently, Microsoft is offering 90% off on new customers’ first month of the service.
