Yesterday, Bethesda unveiled the latest showcase in their ongoing Fallout 76 Around Appalachia series. Every two weeks, the studio selects around half a dozen of the best new player-submitted Photomode screenshots from the game to assemble into a gallery. This time, Bethesda asked fans to submit irradiated images, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Latest Fallout 76 Around Appalachia Filled with Radiation and Power Armour
“The smell of radiation is in this air!” says Bethesda, on the post announcing the best new images; “Welcome back to Around Appalachia, our bi-weekly look at Photomode screenshots that RAD-iate with awesome! Last week we called for your best radiated images, and the result was off the Geiger charts!”
This time in Around Appalachia, Bethesda chose eight images to showcase in their gallery. The victorious screenshots were submitted by xVoyevoda, Turbo445, Drunk_Nun, EthanDudeYT, MalevolentMind2, WickedSheWolf_, Nuka_queen and Wasteland_dude. The next Around Appalachia showcase should be released in two weeks’ time, on the 10th of May. The game’s next big update is due to launch just a few days prior, on the 7th. Both Patch 9 and the ‘Ever Upwards!’ content pack will launch that day, but fans may not have time to submit any Pioneer Scout or Backpack-toting screenshots; those may have to wait for the showcase after that.
It’s unknown whether Bethesda will accept images for Around Appalachia using the new Camera item, which just recently arrived in the game. The new Fallout 76 Camera doesn’t feature the filters and other options of Photomode, but is much more convenient to use. Indeed, the Camera may help players to capture dramatic moments which were previously very difficult to capture with Photomode.
To submit Photomode screenshots yourself to the next Around Appalachia, there’s a few places you can do so; you can submit images on the official forums, on social media, and on the r/fo76 subreddit. Just be sure to include the hashtag #Fallout76 to ensure that Bethesda will see it.
