As is fairly common for major RPG game releases, Bethesda has released an Official Collector’s Edition Guide for Fallout 76. Such publications aren’t always especially noteworthy. However, the Fallout 76 Guide is a particularly impressive example. Available in both paperback and hardcover, the guide includes a great deal of information about the lore of the game’s West Virginian setting.
The Official Collector’s Edition Fallout 76 Guide
The Official Collector’s Edition Fallout 76 Guide is currently available on Amazon. The paperback version is available for $19.36, while the hardcover is available from $29.99. The guide includes a poster of the game’s map, full walkthroughs for all of the game’s quests, building instructions, an atlas, and more; “Emerge from Vault 76 ready to thrive – solo or with friends,” says Bethesda; “with the Collector’s Edition guide to Fallout 76. It’s the ultimate reference for creating your character, teaming up with allies, defeating enemies, building, crafting, and exploring the wastes of West Virginia!”
Preview images of the inside of the book showcase the huge amount of lore packed into it. Example pages give a list of some of the game’s factions, including the Brotherhood of Steel, Free States, Raiders, Responders, and the Whitespring Resort. (There are more beyond that too, such as the Order of Mysteries.) Preview pages also give details on the game’s six map regions and their backstory; “The region known to survivors as ‘Toxic Valley,’ is covered by industrial white powder and polluted water sources. The lake and other deadly waters of the Toxic Valley region are home to all manner of mutated , aquatic beasts.”
Without human NPCs to guide you through the quests; it’s not always obvious where to go next or what to do in Fallout 76. As such, the new Fallout 76 Guide is perhaps more useful than ever before for fans looking to explore every corner of West Virginia.
