In all of Fallout 76, there is one single quest which falls into the daily, repeatable, and drop quest category which you can find randomly while exploring the game. This is the Fallout 76 Request Government Air Drop quest. Instead of being tied to a particular site on the map, this quest is tied to an item which you can find in random containers or random enemy inventories.
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Request Government Air Drop Quest
There is no way to guarantee finding the Fallout 76 Request Government Air Drop quest. As such, the best way to find it is simply to play the game. In all likelihood, you will eventually come across it. Every now and then, you may find a “US Government Supply Requisition” Holotape, which can be found in any random container or enemy inventory. Listening to this holotape will start the Request Government Air Drop quest.
Once you’ve listened to the holotape, the quest will direct you to one of the relay stations which are scattered throughout Appalachia. Head to this building and make your way inside, where you should find a terminal. Enter the Supply Requisition Holotape into the terminal and then select the “Request Emergency Air Drop,” option. At this point, the quest will complete, but it isn’t technically over. You still need to actually collect the air drop!
In place of the drop quest, you’ll receive a new miscellaneous quest called “Find the Supply Drop,” and this will pinpoint a location on the map. When you arrive in the marked area, you should be able to see a column of smoke which will show you the exact position of the supply drop. Opening the drop and collecting the contents will complete the miscellaneous quest. Contents vary, but typically consist of random aid items and ammo.
