In the brief lull between the playable windows of the Fallout 76 Beta (the next of which will take place at the weekend), Bethesda has announced a new piece of Fallout merchandise. The T-51 Power Armor Speaker is a new wireless speaker with some impressive features, now available to pre-order.

The New Fallout T-51 Power Armor Helmet Speaker
“The T-51 Power Armor is one of the most useful and versatile tools that can be used in the wasteland,” says Bethesda; “Now it can play the latest top 40 banger too! Blue tooth compatible and featuring motion controls so even when you’re getting your hands dirty out in the wasteland you can still adjust the amplification of your tunes.”
The new Power Armor Speaker stands around seven-and-a-half inches tall, and resembles the helmet from a suit of T-51 Power Armor. A wearable replica of this helmet was included in the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition, and Bethesda just recently announced a new charity auction called Helmets for Habitat; this auction features 77 different T-51 helmets decorated and customised by artists and cosplayers. The new speaker isn’t wearable, but it does feature hand motion controls for adjusting volume and switching tracks.
The T-51 Speaker is available for pre-order now, at a sale price of $175.00. The full price is $200.00, but it’s unknown how long this sale will last. It could be a reduction for customers who pre-order the speaker before its launch. An exact release date is not given on its Bethesda Store page, but it does specify “November 2018”; it seems likely that its release could align closely with the launch of Fallout 76. You will be able to use the speaker via bluetooth or USB, and it comes with all the relevant cables for doing so. It also has a micro USB port on the back. Bethesda has released a new tutorial video instructing customers in how to use the speaker.
