Ubisoft has launched the latest Far Cry 5 Title Update; Title Update 9. Like previous updates, the patch includes a whole load of new assets alongside the normal performance improvements and bug fixes. Assets from Far Cry 5’s first two DLC expansions were added to the game’s Arcade Mode via title updates prior to their actual releases. Now, Title Update 9 has done the same thing with assets from the upcoming Dead Living Zombies DLC.
New Assets in Far Cry 5 Title Update 9
Ubisoft recently published the full patch notes for the Far Cry 5 Title Update 9 online. The following are the key changes, however, with the new assets being the headline feature, as it were. That key addition is that full support and assets for the Dead Living Zombies DLC have been added to Far Cry 5. As with previous instances of this, while the DLC has yet to be released, new content can now be accessed in the game’s Arcade Mode; giving players a taste of what is to come.
In addition, Title Update 9 adds new content to the game’s shop, and new “generic invisible shapes” to the Arcade Editor. A variety of bug fixes have also been added; less than in previous title updates, but that is to be expected for the game’s ninth such update. The full list of bug fixes can be perused in the patch notes. This is also the first instance of a title update implementing patches for the Lost on Mars DLC; seven bugs for that new DLC should now have been fixed. Similarly, five bugs have been patched for the game’s new Photo Mode.
All in all, Title Update 9 isn’t the most interesting update outside of the new content. However, that new content is a strong indicator that Dead Living Zombies isn’t far from release. Given the release dates of Hours of Darkness and Lost on Mars; the third and final DLC is likely to launch within the next month.
