FIFA 19 ePremier League 2019 Final Results: Quarterfinals Matchups Set For Xbox, PS4

Back in January, the competition got underway as Premier League clubs each produced eSports teams to compete in ePremier League. Time flies, as we’re now onto the first-ever Finals. The FIFA 19 ePremier League 2019 results on Thursday showed some surprises, but many of the favorites moved on. After the conclusion of the latest day of action, both the Xbox One and PlayStation side of things had their quarterfinal matchups set for Friday. Here’s a look at who will be facing off in the next big matchups heading to the ePremier League 2019 Finals.

The Xbox One yielded quite the final eight including multiple-time FUT Champions Cup winner F2Tekkz moving on in Group A along with iBattleCat. In Group B, Lyricz30 and MarcMarleyy advanced, while RRusher7 and FazeTass moved on from Group C. For Group D it was Jonesy17FIFA and SCPDiogo getting it done.

F2Tekkz, real name Donovan Hunt, was a big favorite heading into the competition, but had his struggles on Thursday. Tekkz, who represents Liverpool, lost a Round 1 tie to Manchester City’s Connor Keys. However, he came out on top 4-3 against Cardiff City’s Rhys Griffiths to grab a “winner-takes-all” Round 5 victory. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Josh “Jonesy17FIFA” Jones was the gamer in the spotlight on Thursday as he advanced with quite the scoring flurry.

Over on the PlayStation 4 side of the competition, there was plenty of excitement in the Group C. That particular group had all five of their gamers with a chance to move on. However, only two would do so. It ended up being Jordan “Croftyboy925” Croft advanced thanks to the head-to-head rule.

That was thanks to him winning two of his matches during the day. The Huddersfield Town representative defeated Fulham and Tottenham Hotspurs gamers. Next up is a quarterfinals matchup against Crystal Palace. Also moving on from Group C was Manchester City PS4 rep Kai “Deto” Wollin who defeated Simon “Fizzy_EFC” Duxbury.

The second day of the FIFA 19 ePremier League Finals will take place on Friday (Mar. 29) from London. Streaming coverage is available live online through the EA Sports FIFA Twitch channel. In addition, folks in the UK can watch the Finals as they’re broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League or Sky Sports Mix TV channels.
