EA Sports recently revealed the FIFA 19 fastest players. These are the quickest stars on the field for the new game, according to FIFA 19 ratings. Some of the best include popular stars such as Gareth Bale, Leroy Sale, Jurgen Damm, and Kekuta Manneh. While EA recently provided their list of who they believe ranks as the fastest, a YouTube channel’s speed test video showed an interesting difference.
Top 10 FIFA 19 Fastest Players in Game
A report via GiveMeSport on Saturday (Sept. 22), indicated that FIFA 19 ratings show Adama Traore as the No. 1 player when it comes to speed. He’s followed on the top five by Mbappe, Gareth Bale, Costa, and Sane. Most fans would probably agree these guys are amongst the quickest on the field in the game today.
10. Sadio Mane 94
09. Kekuta Manne 94
08. Kingsley Coman 94
07. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 94
06. Jurgen Damm 95
05. Leroy Sane 95
04. Douglas Costa 95
03. Gareth Bale 95
02. Kylian Mbappe 96
01. Adama Traore Diarra 96
However, there are always debates about where players are ranked in sports games versus where they should be ranked. Fans see things unfold on the field, or court, over the course of a season. They may feel another player should be considered the best-of-the-best, or in this case, the fastest. For this year’s list, Adama is at the top of the list with a 96 Pace Rating. However, No. 2 player Mbappe also holds a 96 rating in that skill.
Why not hold a tournament to decide if the rankings are right? At least one gaming channel did just that.
Gamer Conducts FIFA 19 Fastest Players Speed Test
TFVGaming’s Rohan Trehan ran a custom speed test to see if the FIFA 19 fastest player ratings are accurate. To perform the FIFA speed test, the gaming group took the 32 fastest players in the game. They grouped them into four-player heats in a tournament bracket (above). After the first round, eight winners emerged from the different brackets. That led to two more four-player heats. The winner of each semifinal heat advanced to the finals.
The YouTube video below shows the entire speed test which also featured FIFA 19’s top players overall: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar. Ronaldo and Neymar both advanced from their heats, but Messi did not. Sane took that group.
For the semifinals, one side of the bracket featured a group of Adama, Bale, Ronaldo, and Mbappe. For the other side’s group of four, it was Sane, Salah, Neymar, and Costa. The winner from each group of four claimed a spot in the finals of the speed test.
Due to the way the tournament was set up, it meant the two players ranked at the top (Mbappe and Adama) went at it in their semifinals matchup. Mbappe ultimately won that group to make it to the finals. On the other side, Sane emerged as that group’s fastest player.
When the finals were over, it was Mbappe crowned as the FIFA 19 game’s fastest player. However, the fact that he edged Sane by a close margin is interesting. One has to wonder how a race pitting Sane versus Adama would play out. As of right now, it’s looking like maybe Mbappe deserves the No. 1 spot on FIFA’s Top 20 list.
