Most of the news right now surrounding FIFA 19 revolves around Champions League. But that is hardly the only thing we have learned about this past week.
Here are some of the coolest features which we can look forward to in the new game:
• If you tap Circle/B a second time while your foot is making contact with the ball, you may get an even better shot (or a much worse one—but either way, it should go further).
• The camera will no longer move when you move the stick from a goal kick.
• Much like in PES 2018, FIFA 19 will highlight the second player.
• In the team management section, you can now set running patterns for full-backs.
• You can now control defensive positioning for central midfielders.
• With a new feature called game plans, you can come up with a set of tactical pre-sets and select the one you want to use. You can then switch between them using your d-pad.
• Champions League now features Derek Rae and Lee Dixon as commentators.
• FIFA 19 will not only feature the Champions League, but also the Europa League.
• In the standalone Champions League mode, you can customize your league however you want.
• A new series of settings makes it easy to control defensive tactics for your team.
• Players seem to be a bit more dynamic now in how they run into the box or jump.
• FIFA 19 gives you powerful control over width and depth.
• Through passes seem to be greatly enhanced in the new game.
• You can now experience improved control of the ball through an augmented first touch system.
• Feint attacks have been incorporated in FIFA 19.
• When it comes to 50/50 battles, more variables will be factored in than in the past.
• A new toggle makes it easy to see which tactical options are active and what their status is (i.e. temporary or permanent until you change it).
FIFA 19 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch. The release date is September 28th. We will continue to provide you with fresh updates from now until then as we learn more about these fantastic new features!
