FIFA 19 Title Update 3 Brings Shooting, Goalkeepers, Ultimate Team Changes, & More

As of Tuesday, EA Sports released FIFA 19 title update 3 for the PC, with Xbox One and PS4 updates coming in a week. However, gamers are learning this update brings a number of improvements to gameplay. Among the aspects that are updated are specifics for shooting and goalkeepers to tweak how the game goes. In addition, gamers will find other exciting changes to FIFA Ultimate Team, as well as the addition of new Starheads, and more. Here are more details about some of the important changes to the FIFA 19 game.

FIFA 19 Title Update 3 – Shooting Accuracy Changes

The new update has adjusted shooting the ball under certain conditions. For example, when it comes to taking first-time finesse shots, gameplay has been adjusted for the effectiveness of them scoring or not. Basically, the change affects shots based on the angle which the ball is coming into the player. EA mentions that it will only impact the balls that enter from 135 degrees to 225 degrees. Gamers can check out EA’s link in the tweet below for a detailed explanation of how it will affect the shots.

The latest FIFA 19 title update also affects the impact of defensive pressure on a player taking a shot. With this change, they have reduced how likely it is for a shot to be directed at the goal if the shooting player is getting a lot of defensive pressure. So this will add another bit of realism to FIFA 19 in terms of how things would actually be on the field.

The developers continue to address quirks when it comes to how goalkeepers are behaving around the goal. With the update, keepers should now pick up the ball instead of kicking it forward when they move towards it. Goalies are more likely to dive to intercept the ball after a cross is made. In addition, they will react better to penalty kicks that come right at them or close by. Also, EA addressed the ability of players being able to push the keeper out of the way during a free kick.

In Ultimate Team, the developers changed the Division Rivals “pre-match flow.” They noted that they did this to help gamers find a match. They made a few tweaks to some visuals there too. For example, a gamer will see their team displayed on the left side with their opponent on the right side. This will be the case no matter whether you’re the Home or Away team. On Team Management screen, a gamer’s team crest is going to display on the screen’s right side.

Another exciting change is the addition of 48 player and two manager starheads. Among the stars listed for this are Jesse Lingard, Gareth Bale, and Diego da Silva Costa. Some of these are seen in the tweet up above. EA says they’ll be available for in the game shortly after they implement server releases for the different game platforms.

So far the changes are only on the Windows PC version of the game. The Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One versions of the FIFA 19 game should receive updates next week.
