Another week has arrived for EA Sports to decide which football stars deserve the latest Team of the Week honors. On Wednesday, they announced the FIFA 19 Team of the Week 8 lineup. These are players who were impressive in their real-life on the field contributions recently and now get a ratings boost in the FIFA 19 game. Among the FIFA 19 TOTW 8 representatives are stars Dries Mertens and Felipe Anderson.
Mertens, Anderson lead FIFA 19 TOTW 8
Two of the stars headlining the latest Team of the Week are Dries Mertens and Felipe Anderson. Mertens had a brilliant outing for Napoli in their recent game against Empoli. His three goals and set up for a fourth added to the team’s 5-1 victory. He moved up to an 88 overall in the game.
Anderson scored twice in a 4-2 win against Burnley, pleasing fans of the Brazilian star. That has him rated as an 86 overall in the game now, along with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Besiktas’ Ricardo Quaresma.

Hazard, Richarlison among FIFA 19 TOTW 8 subs
Headling the FOFA 19 TOTW 8 substitute players are Thorgan Hazard and Everton’s Richalrison. The Everton midfielder has six Premier League goals in the new season. That includes the two he scored against Brighton recently. Richalrison is now rated at an 81 overall for the FIFA 19 player ratings.
Other subs with them are Montpellier’s Gaetan Laborde (81), Eibar’s Joan Jordan (81), Nantes’ Valentin Rongier (82), Aston Villa’s James Chester (81), and Zack Steffen (81) of MLS’ Columbus Crew.
FIFA 19 TOTW 8 reserves, team challenge
Five reserves round out the 23 players on the latest Team of the Week. They are FC Zurich’s Salim Khelifi (78), Pachuca’s Victor Guzman (79), Wehen Wiesbaden’s Manuel Schaffler (78), Adelaide United’s Craig Goodwin (75), and Wolfsberger’s Mario Leitgeb (72).
Gamers who have the hit EA Sports game can now challenge the FIFA 19 Team of the Week 8. Doing so can earn bonus coins on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
