EA reveals top 100 FIFA 20 player ratings
After teasing ratings a few days ago, EA’s FIFA Twitter rolled out a tweet with the top 10 players for the upcoming game along with a link for players No. 11 through 100. As mentioned, the top stars in the game, Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar are the top three once again. However, Messi sits above his fellow stars with a 94 overall, while Ronaldo has a 93 and Neymar a 92 in the new FIFA 20 player ratings.
Looking back at last year’s ratings, Ronaldo and Messi were tied with 94 OVRs while Neymar had a 92 OVR. However, EA has adjusted things for the coming season, showing who the best player in the game is.
Here’s a look at the top 10 FIFA 20 player ratings for the new game:
Also noticeable for the top 10 is the fact that Luka Modric fell from being ranked No. 4 in FIFA 19 (91 OVR), to No. 9 overall for FIFA 20 with a 90 OVR. Cover star Eden Hazard took over this year’s No. 4 spot with a 91 OVR, and Kevin de Bruyne remained in spot No. 5 with his 91 OVR again.
Who joined this year’s top 10 for the game?
Several players dropped out of the top 10 to make room for new stars. Here’s a look at how things changed with a FIFA 20 to FIFA 19 ratings comparison:
- Lionel Messi (94) – Cristiano Ronaldo (94)
- Cristiano Ronaldo (93) – Lionel Messi (94)
- Neymar Jr. (92) – Neymar Jr. (92)
- Eden Hazard (91) – Luka Modric (91)
- Kevin de Bruyne (91) – Kevin de Bruyne (91)
- Jan Oblak (91) – Eden Hazard (91)
- Virgil Van Djik (90) – Sergio Ramos (91)
- Mohamed Salah (90) – Luis Suarez (91)
- Luka Modric (90) – David de Gea (91)

We can see from the above that Toni Kroos (88), David de Gea (89), Luis Suarez (89), and Sergio Ramos (89) are all outside of the top 10 for the FIFA 20 player ratings. Replacing them in the list are new stars Jan Oblak, Virgil Van Djik, Mohamed Salah, and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
