The anticipation for the new FIFA 20 game continues to build with teases of what’s to come. While there have been special videos shown about the updated gameplay and new features like VOLTA mode, there have yet to be any player ratings revealed. That’s going to change by early next week with the FIFA 20 ratings reveal. Ahead of that, EA is teasing the reveal with a new trailer and a look at some of Paris Saint-Germain’s stars showing their skills in a speed test.
New FIFA 20 ratings reveal teaser video
In a cool new real-life FIFA 20 ratings reveal teaser video, we see a number of players in action. In particular, Joao Felix is there to get tested in a futuristic laboratory setting. With Pusha T’s “Numbers on the Board” appropriately playing, we see ratings getting adjusted as a player breaks the system with his impressive moves. Check out the complete video below for the ratings pre-reveal hype.
The new teaser trailer arrives several days ahead of the official FIFA 20 ratings reveal. EA indicated they’ll roll out the ratings on Monday, September 9 for gamers to see who are the top players in the upcoming football title. They’ve already revealed the top 100 players on their website, although they don’t have any ratings yet. Check them out here at EA’s site.
Paris Saint-Germain run through speed test
In a separate video, a number of players from the Paris Saint-Germain club head to the pitch to go through a speed and dribbling drill. F2 is there with EA Sports to test out the players’ ratings over a course which consists of Ladder, Slalom, One Two Jump, another Slalom, and Strike (nailing a goal shot).
Taking part in the drills are Edison Cavani, Angel di Maria, Verratti, Julian Draxler, and Kylian Mbappe. Check out the footage below to see how they perform.
Here’s how each of the PSG players’ current ratings are including overall, Pace, and Dribbling, along with their times for the speed drill.
- Edison Cavani (88 OVR, 75 Pace, 79 Dribbling) 13.59 seconds
- Angel Di Maria (86 OVR, 84 Pace, 87 Dribbling) 13.44 seconds
- Marco Verratti (83 OVR, 65 Pace, 88 Dribbling) 12.22 seconds
- Julian Draxler (83 OVR, 77 Pace, 86 Dribbling) 11.82 seconds
- Kylian Mbappe (89 OVR, 96 Pace, 90 Dribbling) 11.05 seconds
Is it really much of a surprise that Mbappe was the fastest of the bunch? He was also among the fastest in a FIFA 19 speed test video for the game last year. So it’s not going to be surprising to see him with one of the best speed and overall ratings in FIFA 20 when the numbers arrive on September 9.
The new FIFA 20 game officially arrives for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs (via Origin) on September 24, 2019.
