Due to all of the suspended or postponed international football campaigns around the globe, there won’t be a Team of the Season for FIFA. However, this year features a new squad known as FIFA 20 Team of the Season So Far. Voting is now available for Community TOTSSF. Here are all of the details for how it will work.
What is FIFA 20 Community Team of the Season So Far?
Each year around this time, EA unveils a Community Team of the Season based on which players were the best of the best in international football. The coronavirus pandemic led to many seasons being suspended this year and that has meant changes in Ultimate Team content.
We saw that with Team of the Week Moments taking over for Team of the Week. Now we’ll see Team of the Season So Far recognizing the best players “so far” this season that hasn’t been fully played.
With that in mind, the FIFA community has the opportunity to vote for which players they believe are most deserving of this team’s 23-man roster. These players come from a shortlist of football stars who had at least one “performance-based special item in FIFA Ultimate Team” this past season.
You won’t see names like Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, or Lewandowski here. These will be other stars worthy of votes. Just some of the star players up for votes include Sergio Busquet, Fernandinho, Thiago, Pique, Peter Gulacsi, and Pepe.
More details are available at the EA FIFA report here.
How to vote for Community TOTSSF players
The criteria are simple. You’ll be voting for a total of 23 players from the shortlist of international stars. You’ll need to select at least 2 Goalkeepers, at least 6 Defenders, at least 6 Midfielders, and at least 3 Forwards on your squad.
The gaming community can vote free of charge through several websites. One of those is FUTHEAD’s voting area here. The other is the FUTWIZ voting here.
The FIFA 20 Community Team of the Season So Far players will become available starting on April 24 through Ultimate Team. It appears there will also be “Team of the Season So Far” groups revealed in addition to who the community chooses, so stay tuned!
