FIFA 21 Celebrations Trailer Shows New Ways to Celebrate on Virtual Pitch

The thrill of scoring on the court or field of play is often accompanied by some sort of special celebration. There are end zone dances in American football and base-rounding gestures for baseball’s home runs. International football also brings celebratory concepts. In the new FIFA 21 celebrations trailer, gamers will continue to get to use them after big moments with more added to the game.

FIFA 21 Celebrations trailer includes Binoculars, Disbelief, and Selfie

We’ve seen FIFA gameplay, Ultimate Team, and other trailers. Now EA Sports has released a new FIFA 21 Celebrations trailer on Tuesday (Sept. 22) featuring cover star Kylian Mbappe among others. The video moves quickly through different on-field celebrations. Erling Haaland’s Zen and Kylian Mbappe’s crying tears celebrations are both featured in the trailer, after popping up previously.

The game will have a variety of FIFA 21 celebrations which can be Signature, Random, Run to Camera, or Run to Adboards style. For example, a group of players posing for the Selfie celebration is among Run to Camera options. Signature Celebrations include the “A,” Finger Twist” and “Binoculars” performed by pressing the A or X buttons on a controller.

The “Royal Wave” is one of the Random Celebrations gamers can access by pressing the B button or O button on their controller. There are also group dances and other FIFA 21 celebrations shown which involve different button combos as described below.

For example, we see something called “Surf and Flex.” It involves pressing L2 (PS4)/LT (Xbox One) and flicking Right Stick up and down. “Hop and Point” uses a Hold on R2 (PS4) or RT (Xbox One) along with flicking the Right Stick up and down.

Gamers can do a group “Dance and Spin” by holding R2 or RT and flicking Right Stick to the Right or Left. There’s also “Disbelief” performed by holding R2/RT and holding the Right Stick down.

Gamers have to wait for game’s release to try new celebration options

It’s clear FIFA 21 celebrations will once again be a big part of the new game, similar to how EA updated Madden 21. However, the American football sim also has options to choose one of four celebrations including Signature, Flex, or Dance. Gamers can access them through use of the controller stick and an on-screen pop-up menu.

With EA’s soccer title, there’s not going to be any limited free version to test out. EA recently announced there won’t be a FIFA demo version this year.

However, EA Play will allow its members to start playing the FIFA 21 game over a week early. EA Play is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Those who pre-ordered Champions or Ultimate editions of the game can also play three days earlier (Oct. 6). Meanwhile, everyone else has to wait until October 9, 2020.
