As of Sunday, the FIFA eWorld Cup crowned its first champion. A fierce battle between two gamers took place in Bucharest with one of the two eSports stars leaving with the trophy. That winner just so happened to be a favorite to capture the title heading into this competition. Here are the latest details for today’s FUT Champions Cup tournament and eventual winner.
FIFA eWorld Cup 2019: FUT Champions Cup 2018 results
Today’s Grand Final in Bucharest featured United States gamer Joksan Redana (7-2) squaring off against Great Britain’s F2TekKz (8-1) on the FIFA 19 game. Going into the tournament, Redana was a highly-praised newcomer, coming off a Continental Cup 2018 win ahead of this event, giving him some momentum. However, F2Tekkz was last year’s FUT Champions Cup winner and was one of the top favorites to win going into this tournament.
He was able to repeat as champion in glorious fashion, as the EA Sports FIFA Twitter tweeted out their congratulations.

For winning the FUT Champions Cup, he’ll pick up a few sweet prizes. He’ll walk away with $50,000 in USD prize money. However, he also picks up 1,500 Global Series points as part of the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019. Not a bad way to get things started as he looks towards the bigger road ahead and the potential for more prizes.

This was the first FUT Champions Cup for the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019. There will be seven other major tournaments as part of the eSports event. However, it’s a major win for F2Tekkz who won last year’s FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona, Spain. His opponent also takes a step forward in the eSports competition and graciously accepted defeat.
