‘Fighting With My Family’ Cast Members Fight In WWE 2K19 Challenge Video
The new film “Fighting With My Family” recently dropped and tells the story of WWE superstar Paige as she made her journey into professional wrestling. During a recent JOE video segment, several of the main cast members from the film talked about the new movie. In addition, several of the main actors from the movie battled it out on the WWE 2K19 game.

“Fighting With My Family” is an entertaining look at the early life and career of Saraya-Jade Bevis. She’s best known as “Paige” within the WWE and in the WWE 2K19 game. For months, WWE has promoted the newest film that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson worked as part of. Johnson was amongst the cast, playing himself, but also executive produced.
Florence Pugh takes on the role of Paige in the film, while Nick Frost plays the role of Ricky Knight, her father. The two cast members took fought each other in WWE 2K19 during the JOE segment. Ironically, they weren’t fighting as family members in the ring, but instead played an iconic rivalry between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The movie’s main subject Paige is also ringside for the matchup.

By the way, the Rock isn’t the only 2K19 wrestling star who makes an appearance in the film. Current WWE women’s division member Zelina Vega plays the role of former women’s wrestling star AJ Lee. Paige had several matches against AJ during her time on the main roster, and fans are most likely continuing to play them on WWE 2K19. They just need to download an AJ Lee Community Creation to do that.

Spoilers ahead for those who don’t follow WWE or haven’t seen the new movie. Paige’s WWE origin story was an inspiring one as she made it to the professional wrestling business and achieved great success. She ultimately became the inaugural WWE NXT Women’s Champion and went on to go to the WWE’s main roster. She’d debut on WWE Raw in a surprising way.
During her time at the main roster, she captured the WWE Divas Championship multiple times. Paige had a bit of a rough patch in 2016-17 to heal from a neck injury and surgery, as well as serve suspensions for violating WWE Wellness policies. However, she’d ultimately return to WWE and fans were ecstatic.
Another injury hit during a WWE live event and that ended up being the last of Paige’s in-ring career for the company. She’d move into an on-screen role as a General Manager figure for WWE SmackDown, but that ended just this past year in lieu of changes to WWE programs. Ahead of that, Paige was added as a part of the WWE 2K19 game.
Fans may not see Paige take on popular women’s division wrestlers such as Ronda Rousey, Alexa Bliss, or Asuka in WWE anytime. There probably won’t be any appearances in a Women’s Royal Rumble or other historic matches, due to WWE’s injury stance. That said, fans can still play out dream matches with Paige within WWE 2K19.
They can also cherish her inspirational journey to the ring in “Fighting With My Family.” The movie arrived in theaters on Feb. 22 and has generally received positive reviews. Rotten Tomatoes currently rates it at 91 percent out of 100 percent based on 140 total reviews. “Fighting With My Family” is PG-13 with a run time of 108 minutes.
