With the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 and its Deluxe Edition coming up so soon, it’s no wonder players are looking forward to the future. For instance, when is the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date? The remake of the beloved Final Fantasy title has been in development for quite some time. In addition, it’s been several years since its initial announcement.
As such, it certainly seems like the time is right for some news. This would also hopefully include theĀ Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date. In this guide, we are going to go over what we know about when the game releases, for what platforms, and when we think we’ll find out more. Strap in, grab your Buster Sword and let’s take a look at what we know.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date PS4
First and foremost, it’s worth noting that we don’t know the release date for the remake currently. In fact, we don’t even have a release year. We were originally supposed to get the first “episode” or section of the game by now but it hasn’t happened. We believe that this could partly have to do with Kingdom Hearts 3.
It is entirely possible that much of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake staff has been working on Kingdom Hearts 3. Now that the game is basically done, the team can fully work on the remake. As such, we believe we should get more info on the remake soon. There are even rumors that a huge event for the game will occur this April.
It is possible that Square Enix will give us a release date for episode one, which we suspect to be the opening Midgar section of the game. If that’s the case, we wouldn’t be surprised it if it releases a year from now in early 2020. As for platforms? Well, PS4 is confirmed right now but we wouldn’t be surprised if it came to PC, next-gen consoles, and maybe even Switch, too.
