The First Call of Duty: Mobile Season of 2021 – New Order – is Now Live

Call of Duty: Mobile’s first few weeks in 2021 have already been incredibly successful – the game launched for the first time in China on the 25th of December, and in its first week alone, made over $14 million. Now, Activision has launched the game’s first proper Season of 2021.

Call of Duty: Mobile 2021 Season 1 – New Order

New Order is the latest Call of Duty: Mobile Season, but rather than continue with the ongoing numbering, Activision has chosen to simply call it “Season 1” of 2021. As per usual, this new season features a Battle Pass packed with content, as well as a few new gameplay additions. There are two new weapons in New Order, for example, including the FR. 556; a mid-to-long-range assault rifle with burst fire. This rifle can be unlocked at Tier 21 of the Battle Pass, while other new articles of wargear can also be unlocked the same way; the Flashbang Grenade – Light Show at Tier 28, for example.

This season’s aesthetic design is heavily inspired by cyberpunk, and as such, New Order’s Premium Pass Tiers feature plenty of cyberpunk-style rewards. These include character skins, new blueprints, and more. The other new weapon, however, is far less futuristic; it’s the SKS. Players can unlock this classic marksman rifle via the Battle Royale Bluff seasonal challenge. However, the SKS isn’t available just yet – it will be coming to the game later in the season, sometime in mid-February.

Season 1 of 2021 also features a new map, entitled Reclaim. Set in an abandoned shopping complex decked out for the holidays, Reclaim is a totally new map design. (Rather than an old map from a previous Call of Duty title.) Players can also try out two new multiplayer modes; 3v3 Gunfight, which also recently came to Black Ops Cold War, and Attack of the Undead. The latter is a 20-player mode which pits humans against zombies. There is also a new battle royale mode. Blitz is a 40-player mode with a shorter time limit than normal. As such, players will need to move fast. However, the mode also provides a wealth of extra loot all over the map.
