A Major Hades Update Is On The Way According To Supergiant Games
Supergiant Games has announced that a major update will be coming to their latest title Hades tomorrow, January 15. The game is their first early access title, which means an update will most likely bring plenty of changes that fans should be excited to see.
Hades Is In Early Access With Plenty More On The Horizon
Revealed at The Game Awards last month, Hades is a roguelike epic which sees players take on the Greek god of death himself. Supergiant Games is revered by the gaming world for their phenomenal freshman title Bastion back in 2011 and just about every effort since. Transistor was heralded by critics and fans alike for its stunning visuals, and their most recent full release Pyre has been regarded as an excellent next step for the studio with its near flawless narrative.
Fans were itching to hear what the studio would do next, and with Hades, they have once again given the industry something to swoon over. While still in early access, the dungeon crawler is still massively fun and challenging and is yet another impressive genre leap for Supergiant. With the promise of “… major content updates on a regular basis, with the possibility of smaller updates in between,” they are seemingly about to make good on their word, taking to Twitter earlier today to build hype for their cryptic announcement.

There’s absolutely no telling what these talented folks are up to, as the possibilities for content updates are near endless. They have given us a very broad indication of what they will include in the coming months, stating, “We expect to add features, events, characters, weapons, powers, environments, and more, all while fine-tuning every aspect of the experience, for at least a year and a half from our initial launch.” While there is no assurance that the first big update will include any number of these, the word “major” in their tweet indicates it very well could be many or all of the things on this list.
Regardless of the specificity of the update, it’s sure to be one to pay close attention to. Supergiant seems to be genuinely excited to expand on what Hades already has to offer, giving fans every reason to match that energy. Hades is currently available in its early access state exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
