As part of its 2019 content roadmap, For Honor is getting a new playable Knight hero later this month. When For Honor’s Year of the Harbinger launches on January 31, Vortiger, the Black Prior will arrive alongside it.
For Honor Black Prior Hero
According to this Ubisoft post, Black Priors are a new Heavy class hero wielding a sword and kite shield. Here’s a full story synopsis for the Black Priors, courtesy of Ubisoft:
“Once knights of the order of the Holy Balaur, the Black Priors were born when their leader, Vortiger was swayed by Apollyon’s promises of power. With her defeat, the order dispersed and disappeared. Now, the Black Priors have returned and fight for Vortiger, seeking to make amends for their past and pledge fealty to the Knights.”
For Honor players who purchase the game’s Year 3 Pass can access the Black Prior hero on January 31. Those without the pass will have to wait until February 7 to purchase the Black Prior for 15,000 Steel. The Year 3 Pass is available now at a $30 price point.
Along with the Black Prior class, For Honor is getting a few additional features on January 31. The inaugural Year of the Harbinger update also includes reworks for the existing Shugoki, Peacekeeper, and Warlord classes. Ubisoft will also add in a new Dominion map titled ‘Harbor’ as a free addition for all players.
Later in 2019, For Honor’s other three factions (Vikings, Samurai, and Wu-Lin) will be getting new heroes of their own. The Year 3 Pass grants seven days early access to all new heroes along with other pass-only perks. Said perks include 30 days of Champion Status, five Scavenger Crates, and some exclusive cosmetic items.
For Honor’s 2019 content roadmap follows up from last year’s Marching Fire expansion. Marching Fire had plenty of its own new additions, including the Wu-Lin playable faction and Arcade Mode experience.
