Epic Games has done a great job updating its biggest game, Fortnite Battle Royale. As many players expected, the patch 5.40 was huge. Not only has it added many new things to the game, but it has also revealed some interesting additions that will be eventually released.
Data miners have already discovered many new upcoming additions, including music packs and new events. However, it seems that the Fortnite developer could soon allow players to have their pets in the game.
Fortnite Pets
Twitter page FNBRLeaks has recently released a few interesting leaks. These leaks all come from the files that were added to the Fortnite game data with the latest update. At the moment, players don’t have any additional details about this feature, but there are some theories.
Some Fortnite Battle Royale players believe that these would be non-combat pets. World of Warcraft is one of the games that made in-game pets popular, and Fortnite could soon add this feature as well. Considering that season 6 will be released in less than a month, we can expect Epic Games to add pets with the release of the new season.

If the Fortnite developer releases pets, they will most likely be cosmetic items obtainable from the item shop. After all, the Pets folder is found inside the Cosmetics folder in the game data.
It will be interesting to see all the new features Fortnite Battle Royale players will get next season. Epic Games will have to do a great job in order to keep Fortnite players active, so we can expect big things to happen.
The patch 5.40 was probably the last big patch in season 5, and the game creator is now working on introducing the next season to its players. The mysterious cube will most likely be used as a transition from the two seasons. However, we will have to wait and see what exactly Epic Games has prepared for us.
