Planning to settle in for a Fortnite marathon tomorrow? You may want to clear your schedule, because it looks like Epic Games has announced planned maintenance for tomorrow. The game will be taken offline for a short while, so while the developer is working its magic, you may think about swapping over to something else to play while you wait, or write up some more theories about the meteors having popped up over Tilted Towers.
The maintenance window is scheduled to begin at 4 AM EST to pave the way for the v3.5 content update, and said update’s patch notes will be uploaded a soon as the downtime begins. That means if you’re curious as to what, exactly, the patch will bring, you may want to stay up a little late tonight. No pain, no gain, right? Unfortunately, right now there isn’t any estimated time for the servers to come back up after being taken offline. Usually maintenance tends to last for a couple hours, except in the rare cases where previously Fortnite: Battle Royale’s maintenance ended up lasting nearly 24 hours. That shouldn’t be the case here, obviously, but anything could happen.
Right now, we know we’ll see the Light Machine Gun, which will be available as an uncommon item. But fans are speculating that there will be important changes brought on related to the meteors that have been spotted in-game over Tilted Towers. There’s also a bevy of concerns that players are clamoring to be addressed. Recently Epic Games already removed Guided Missiles from the game, and is taking a look at weapon animations next.
As far as everything you can expect to see in Fortnite when it’s back online so you can jump right into the carnage, you’ll want to check out the patch notes when they go live as right now it’s all speculation. If you’re waiting with bated breath for the servers to return, you can always read up on the Tilted Towers rumors all over the internet.
