Fortnite Battle Royale: Special High Stakes Challenges Have Been Revealed
Fortnite Battle Royale players have entered what’s going to be a very exciting week for the video game. Epic Games is preparing a lot of big things for players, and one of those things is a special in-game event. The High Stakes event will be released this week, and it will include exclusive cosmetic items, a unique limited-time game mode, and special challenges.
Players were first given more details about the cosmetic items, then the new game mode. In the end, the Fortnite developer revealed more information about special challenges, making players even more excited about what’s coming this week.
Players will get 5,000 XP for playing 10 matches in the Getaway game mode. The special spray will be given to those who deal 500 damage to opponents who are carrying a jewel in the mode. Additionally, picking up a jewel in five different Getaway matches will earn players a special skydiving contrail.
Finally, Fortnite Battle Royale players will be rewarded with a special pickaxe once they complete all the challenges.
Beside these challenges, players will get the Getaway LTM. This mode will be unique as it will have four safes on the island. Players will have to reach these safes, open them, get a jewel, and extract the jewel to a getaway van. The match ends once all four jewels have been extracted.
As for the cosmetic items, Fortnite Battle Royale players will receive two free items, a special spray and a crowbar pickaxe from the revealed challenges. There will be a few other cosmetic items available, including the Wildcard outfit and an exclusive glider, but it seems that these items will have to be bought from the in-game store.
The High Stakes event will be released this week, most likely on Tuesday with the patch 5.40. The patch will bring a couple of big gameplay changes and the Grappler, the new mobility item.
