Thanks to the recent release of Update v5.20 for Fortnite, data-miners have been unable to unearth a whole slew of upcoming content online. The next batch of cosmetic items coming to the game soon has already been leaked, for example. In addition, the leaked content included all of the Fortnite Challenges for the rest of Season 5. As many of the later event names are likely to be placeholders, fans should pay closest attention to the nearest ones; those for week 5.
Fortnite Challenges for Season 5, Week 5
Given that this information was leaked via Fortrisen on Twitter, it’s always possible that Epic Games could change things prior to the start of Week 5. However, it’s also worth noting that Fortnite has been riddled with leaks since launch, and they have often been proven accurate. For now at least, here’s what we know about the Fortnite Challenges for Week 5.
Free Battle Pass Challenges:
- Deal damage to players with a Clinger, Stink Bomb, or Grenade (0/300)
- Use a Rift (0/3)
- Eliminate opponents (0/3) (Hard)
Paid Battle Pass Challenges:
- Search chests in Junk Junction (0/7)
- Hit a hole in one from different tees (0/3)
- Follow the treasure map found in Greasy Grove (0/1) (Hard)
- Eliminate opponents in Shifty Shafts (0/3) (Hard)

All in all, the challenges are fairly run-of-the-mill. The only standout one among them is the golf-related challenge. The golf ball toy is still relatively new. A basketball-themed challenge featured in Fortnite several weeks ago; tasking players to score 3-point shots. This challenge seems to be themed similarly, albeit using the new golf toy. The remainder are relatively straight-forward. Perhaps the most troublesome could be the challenge to damage enemies with grenades. However, no doubt it will differ somewhat from player to player.
Of course, certain parts of certain maps are likely to see more activity during week 5 as players aim to complete these challenges; Greasy Grove, Shifty Shafts, and Junk Junction in particular.
