Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is just around the corner. If there are no unexpected delays and problems, Epic Games will release the next season of the popular video game on Wednesday, March 8.
Epic has prepared a lot of new content for the new season, including Creative 2.0. Furthermore, there have been numerous leaks that reveal the upcoming content. Considering that we are so close to the release of the new season, this comes as no surprise.
On Monday, March 6, Twitter revealed the theme of the next Fortnite season. It appears that the leaks were true and that the season will have a futuristic theme.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 name and logo revealed
Hashflags are icons that appear next to certain hashtags on Twitter. On Monday, the hashflagsio account revealed the name and the logo of the upcoming Fortnite Battle Royale season.
It turns out that the season will be called “Mega,” which may be a reference to Mega Mall, a futuristic POI that was in the game during Season 9. This could also be a reference to the other island changes that will be released in the next season.
Starting Monday, Twitter users will see a new icon when using #FortniteChapter2Season2 or #GoToMEGA hashtags. As you may notice, Twitter made a mistake with the first hashtag as the next season will be Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, not Chapter 2 Season 2. However, this will likely be fixed very soon.
The teasers for the new season have also been decrypted.
It appears that Fortnite leakers were right and that the upcoming season of the video game will have a futuristic theme. Furthermore, the teaser text is in Japanese, which almost confirms the leak that the map will have a Japanese POI.
