Fortnite Battle Royale season 6 will be released on September 27 at 4:00 AM ET. With just hours away from it, players are excited to see what new features the season will bring. Epic Games has revealed another great feature that will come with the update, and this feature will improve the gameplay on consoles.
Fortnite console players are finally getting custom controller bindings. Right now, there are four different controller schemes players can pick. However, the new feature will completely change controls, allowing players to change every single button and its function.
Custom controller bindings
Aaron from Epic Games has revealed the upcoming feature that is coming with the patch 6.0. In just a few hours, Fortnite players will be able to completely customize their controls on consoles, which will further narrow the gap between the consoles and the PC.
The developer posted a couple of screenshots which show what this feature will exactly look like. Just recently, Epic Games made a big change which reduced editing delay on controllers. In 6.0, players will be able to edit building pieces immediately, without having to wait. This goes the same for repairing player-built structures.
The developer has also revealed that console players will get different building sensitivity settings very soon. This will allow players to have a different sensitivity for looking around, moving and aiming, and a separate setting for building.
It is important to note that Fortnite Battle Royale players will still be able to use one of the four premade controller schemes, including Builder Pro. However, there is no doubt that using a custom configuration will give players a huge advantage. Not only will they be able to edit buildings without any delay, but they will also be able to jump and aim at the same time, which is currently impossible without a custom controller.
