Fortnite’s seventh season is in its last phase and the weekly challenges for its second last week are live. The ninth week tasks players with fun activities like completing timed trials, using the new Sneaky Snowman, and popping balloons. After the latest update, balloons appeared in specific locations and now players have to pop them. Aside from the weekly challenges, the special Marshmello challenges called “Showtime” have also gone live.
Some players might find it hard to complete the Balloon Popping challenge because the balloons are small and hard to spot. In order to unlock the reward for the challenge, players will have to pop at least 10 Golden Balloons. In this guide, we’ve marked all the places where you can easily find the golden balloons.
Locations Of The Golden Balloons In Fortnite
The balloons look similar to other balloons found in the game, except that they have a metallic gold color. The other thing to know before hunting for the Golden Balloons in that they are always attached to some other structure. Here’s how the balloon looks like:
Here are locations where you can discover the Golden Balloons:
- Northeastern edge of the map, near Wailing Woods.
- On the left side of the northern end of the river.
- Near the giant metallic turtle on the eastern edge of the map.
- East of Loot Lake, where the river meets the lake.
- The western part of Tilted Towers.
- South of Paradise Palms, between the hills.
- On the right side of the southern end of the river.
- Near the plane runway in Frosty Flights.
- South of Haunted Hills.
- At the center of Fatal Fields.

The challenge is fairly easy in Squad and Solo modes, but it is recommended that you do it in Team Rumble game mode. You can easily respawn if eliminated plus you can quickly drop in a place with Quadcrashers or X-4 Stormwing planes to quickly complete the challenge in just a single match.
