Fortnite Battle Royale Season 8 map is changing gradually. While nearly everyone expected major map changes at the start of the season, Epic Games has decided to take a different approach. With cubes moving around the map and spreading corruption, big things are bound to happen!
Once again, Fortnite players can expect a big map change at the middle of the island. This is one of the most popular spots when it comes to map changes and Season 8 won’t be an exception. According to leaks, the center of the map is going to receive a massive change very soon!
Huge map change is coming soon to Fortnite
HYPEX, the most popular Fortnite leaker, has shared a big leak that reveals a future map change. According to him, all the cubes should reach the middle in time for the Fortnitemares event, forming a new landmark called Cube Town. This place will be full of chests and cube bounce pads, which could turn it into a very popular landing spot.
At the moment, there isn’t much in the middle of the map. Not only do players avoid landing there, but they also avoid it completely as it can be dangerous since the center is a divot that is surrounded by all sides.
However, this will most likely change within a week or two. The place will have amazing mobility as players will be able to bounce off the cubes located in there. This wouldn’t be the first time that Epic Games changed the middle of the map for the Fortnitemares event. Back in Chapter 2 – Season 4, The Authority was replaced by The Ruins, a Halloween-themed place with Shadow Midas and his henchmen.

Back in Chapter 1, players could visit Loot Laker in the center of the map. However, the center has been going through drastic changes in Chapter 2.
