If you head over to the Fortnite Twitter account right now, you’ll be greeted with a very strange image. It looks to be the colorbars you’d normally associate with an impending emergency on TV or a test pattern that happens while emergency broadcast systems are being tested. Something wicked is about to head Fortnite’s way, it seems, and it’s probably related to all the hubbub surrounding the meteors we’ve heard so much about.
The tweet was posted without commentary, and the Fortnite Twitter account’s profile banner was changed to match the test pattern, featuring a llama. If we go by the additions to Tilted Towers, which now feature signs on the rooftop featuring one that said “TODAY” with that scribbled out and “TOMORROW” written instead, it could mean that today’s the day.
Today, we could finally see the end of Tilted Towers and the beginning of whatever Epic Games has planned next for the game.

Batten down the hatches, players. With a huge hint like this one, it’d be ludicrous to think something isn’t happening today, or at the very least by the end of this week as we’re being essentially asked to “please stand by” in a very direct manner from the official Fortnite feed itself.
Could the meteor strike today? We’ll update you with more info as soon as it all becomes clear. In the meantime, be careful out there in-game! You never know if the sky could literally begin falling at any moment, after all.
