Fortnite’s Servers Are Coming Down For Maintenance Tomorrow

Make sure you have some other plans for tomorrow if you were thinking you’d get some Fortnite in, as the game’s v3.6 content update is launching tomorrow, April 24. The update will mark the final week of Battle Pass Season 3, with Week 10’s Challenges up for grabs on Thursday — though they’ve already been leaked as of earlier today.

The servers will be coming down around 4 AM ET, though the maintenance shouldn’t last nearly as long as the last round that resulted in players getting some free goodies and loot from Epic Game as an apology. It ended up lasting an entire day, which spelled bad news for players who just wanted to chill all day with their favorite game.

It’s not clear just yet whether or not this could be the update where the infamous meteors in Fortnite finally do what they supposedly came down to do, but something at this point to validate the many fan theories would be welcome. What will likely, realistically end up happening, however, is routine maintenance as well as weapon tweaks, balancing changes, and the new Clinger Grenade, which lets you stick to “any player or surface” your hardened little heart desires. Sounds like a pretty good feature, especially if you want to get strategic with grenade placement, right?

We’ll be patiently waiting for the servers to come back up when they’re taken down, and for some sort of catastrophe (or maybe nothing at all) to have befallen our beloved, controversial Tilted Towers. Will anything significant happen? We’ll keep an eye on the patch notes and let you know what happens as soon as we’re aware. We’re over here sweating it out too, don’t worry!
