Last night’s scheduled maintenance is complete, and Fortnite’s Week 9 Challenges are now live for anyone with the Battle Pass, which means a new selection of ways to pick up additional experience, Battle Stars, and other goodies. All weekly challenges reset on Thursdays, and that means it’s time now to dig into the new set of missions that you can take on to bring up your tier while earning additional cosmetics and XP boosts.
All weekly challenges are available to try and tackle, including the ones released in the weeks prior, for anyone who’s picked up Season 3’s Battle Pass. It runs you 950 V-Bucks, or the in-game currency, if you want to nab one. That’s about $10 of real-world cash if you’re interested, but why wouldn’t you be as part of the Fortnite faithful?
As far as this week’s challenges go, here’s what’s up for grabs:
- Deal damage to opponents’ structures (5,000 damage)
- Search Chests in Haunted Hills (7)
- Build Structures (250)
- Visit different Taco Shops in a single match (3)
- Follow the treasure map found in Moisty Mire (Hard)
- Shotgun Eliminations (Hard; 4)
- Eliminate opponents in Lucky Landing (Hard; 3)
As usual, completing a Hard challenge will net you 10 Battle Stars, but you’ll get 5 from the rest that you’re able to get under your belt. You can complete four tasks of any combination to net the weekly Battle Pass reward.
Epic Games just rewarded players with 20 Battle Stars and 1,600 Seasonal Gold after the maintenance that seemingly wouldn’t end, so you’re probably already sitting pretty when it comes to Battle Stars to begin with. If you need more, however, it can’t hurt to hit up the new Challenges that are up for grabs, especially while you’re waiting for whatever’s going to happen with those creepy meteors to drop…if anything does indeed occur, that is.
