  2. There's seemingly been a lot of criticism of Sony re-releasing TLOU games. However, that may be a vocal minority. Sony has the statistics for their players it's very possible that between the high numbers of sales only representing a small fraction of the userbase and potentially a large number of players not finishing the games they may yet capture significant sales from those that own PS5s, but not any of the games and those that have older editions of the games left incomplete.
  3. I think it’s fascinating when iconic characters are placed in new settings. It not only pays homage to the original but also challenges both the actor and the audience to rethink what that character means in a modern context. When done right, it can deepen the lore while keeping the character relevant
  4. Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned - 8.5/10

  22. Maybe in 2 years? Who knows at this point because he's in excellent shape for his age.
  23. Not possible at this point. Arsenal are mainly concentrating on the Champion's League and with their continuous injury issues, they can't afford to lose their best players now especially when they're in such a good position to get past Real Madrid.
  24. While the funding success is impressive, I'm cautiously optimistic about Bodylink's actual delivery potential. Previous motion control systems have struggled with latency issues and limited game support despite strong initial funding. I'd love to hear about their developer outreach strategy and how they plan to build a sustainable ecosystem beyond launch titles.
  25. Balancing accessibility with immersion presents a growing challenge as VR reaches mainstream adoption. Developers must create experiences accessible to users with varying physical abilities, space constraints, and VR experience levels without compromising the immersive potential that makes VR unique. Solutions like adaptive difficulty and flexible control schemes will become increasingly important.
  26. I've found that full-body movement creates unparalleled immersion for action and adventure games, making physical activities feel natural rather than abstracted. However, for lengthy sessions like strategy games or simulators, I prefer seated VR to prevent fatigue from undermining the experience. The best setup allows switching between modes.
  27. VR disaster simulations allow first responders to experience realistic crisis scenarios repeatedly without resource expenditure. Teams can practice coordinating search and rescue operations in burning buildings, collapsed structures, or flood zones, developing muscle memory and decision-making skills that transfer directly to real emergencies.
  28. VR negotiation training allows professionals to practice high-stakes conversations without real consequences. By creating realistic scenarios with AI counterparts exhibiting various negotiation styles, employees can develop response strategies to difficult tactics, learn to recognize subtle body language cues, and build confidence through repeated practice of challenging situations.
  29. VR rehabilitation can transform repetitive exercises into engaging challenges by gamifying progress. Stroke patients practicing arm movements could see themselves throwing virtual basketballs or conducting an orchestra, receiving immediate visual feedback and achievement rewards that encourage completing full therapy regimens rather than giving up from boredom.
  30. Cultural preservation through VR documentation of historical sites and indigenous practices could preserve humanity's heritage against threats of time, conflict, and climate change. Future generations could experience ancient temples, traditional ceremonies, or endangered languages in context rather than through fragmented artifacts and recordings.
  31. What sold me on The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners wasn't just the zombie action, but how each survivor relationship forced moral dilemmas where VR made decisions visceral. Having to physically nod or shake my head when deciding someone's fate, or literally turning my back on someone asking for help, created guilt I've never felt in traditional games.
  32. Boneworks revolutionized motion controls by creating a consistent physics system where your hands interact with objects exactly as expected. Climbing feels genuinely physical as you grab surfaces and pull your weight up, while combat requires actual force and proper form rather than button presses or simplified gestures.
  33. Aesthetics matter more for peripherals visible in mixed reality or passthrough environments. As VR increasingly blends with our physical spaces through cameras and boundary systems, I care about how trackers and controllers look in my actual room. The Meta Quest controllers' minimalist design complements my home aesthetics better than bulkier alternatives.
  34. I played Lovesick VR recently and found its exploration of emotional dependency surprisingly nuanced. The way it used haptic feedback to simulate physical closeness, then gradually manipulated those sensations as the relationship deteriorated, created a deeply uncomfortable but thought-provoking experience about unhealthy attachment.
  35. VR role-playing scenarios could revolutionize customer service training by allowing employees to practice difficult interactions without real-world consequences. Trainees could experience handling upset customers, resolving complex issues, or managing busy periods with AI customers programmed to present various personality types and problems.
  36. Combining underwater VR training with haptic feedback suits could create an effective microgravity simulation. NASA already uses neutral buoyancy pools, but adding VR headsets would allow astronauts to visualize space environments while their bodies experience similar physical constraints to actual microgravity.
  37. While nostalgic attachment to franchises like Mario Kart initially drew me to Switch, I've found modern Nintendo handhelds appeal more for practical reasons than emotional ones. The ability to play in short sessions that accommodate adult responsibilities makes the Switch my primary gaming platform despite technically superior PlayStation options. What appears as nostalgia-driven preference is actually pragmatic adaptation to changing life circumstances that Nintendo's handheld philosophy accommodates exceptionally well.
  38. As someone with multiple gaming setups throughout my home, wireless controllers facilitate a flexible PlayStation experience. Moving from living room to bedroom without unplugging or reconfiguring connections maintains gameplay momentum. The ability to continue Remote Play seamlessly by taking my controller to another device justifies any performance trade-offs. Controller preference ultimately depends on whether you see your PlayStation as a fixed entertainment center or a flexible ecosystem spanning multiple spaces.
  39. PlayStation's horror lineup already surpasses competitors in quality if not quantity. Between Resident Evil's timed exclusivity arrangements, Silent Hill's PlayStation heritage, and unique offerings like Until Dawn and The Callisto Protocol, the platform offers diverse horror experiences. What's missing isn't more horror games but greater variety within the genre - psychological horror like Layers of Fear, folk horror like Mundaun, or cosmic horror beyond Bloodborne would create a more rounded selection for different horror preferences.
  40. PlayStation's first-party DLC strategy has evolved admirably toward substantial expansions rather than microtransactions. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores and Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island delivered substantial new areas and storylines that meaningfully extended their base games. This approach respects player investment by providing genuine content rather than cosmetics or minor additions. The willingness to develop these expansions despite potentially cannibalizing resources from new projects demonstrates commitment to existing franchises and player communities.
  41. Dreams has redefined what constitutes "fan-created" content on PlayStation. Projects like "Tectonic" demonstrate technical accomplishment approaching indie dev quality, while "Noguchi's Bell" showcases atmospheric storytelling within platform constraints. What impresses me most is how creators leverage Dreams' tools to overcome limitations - implementing sophisticated logic systems and procedural generation despite the closed platform. The community's creativity flourishes even without traditional modding freedom.
  42. Folklore represents PlayStation's willingness to take creative risks during the PS3 era that seems increasingly rare today. The dual protagonist structure offered complementary perspectives on the same events, creating narrative depth rarely seen in action RPGs of that period. The Irish mythology influences provided a refreshing alternative to the usual Japanese or high fantasy tropes, while the environment design created genuinely atmospheric locations that compensated for the technical limitations of early PS3 development.
  43. PlayStation's matchmaking has improved dramatically since PS3 days but still lags behind Xbox in communication features. Party chat stability has been inconsistent across firmware updates, and the cross-generation compatibility between PS4 and PS5 players sometimes creates confusion about which features are available. That said, the actual connection quality and matchmaking speed for flagship titles like Call of Duty and FIFA has been excellent, suggesting Sony prioritizes the fundamentals over peripheral features.
  44. Activity Cards represent one of gaming's most underrated UI innovations. They've transformed how I approach open-world games by removing the friction between identifying objectives and actually playing. Rather than navigating multiple menu layers to find a side quest, I can jump directly to content that interests me. This respects my limited gaming time and keeps me engaged with actual gameplay rather than menu management. The integration with trophy tracking particularly shines for completionists.
  45. The game presets feature has been transformative for me as someone with limited gaming time. Being able to launch directly into games with my preferred difficulty, control scheme, and accessibility settings saves those precious first 15 minutes of a gaming session that would otherwise be spent navigating menus. This seemingly small quality-of-life improvement actually represents a meaningful acknowledgment that player time is valuable, something I wish more platforms would recognize.
  46. As someone who primarily plays single-player experiences, PSN downtime has rarely affected my day-to-day gaming. However, the increasing integration of online elements even in traditionally offline genres has made outages more disruptive. Games like Gran Turismo requiring online connectivity for full functionality means even solo players aren't immune to network issues. Sony's communication during outages has improved significantly, but the growing dependence on stable connections remains concerning.
  47. More frequent firmware updates focusing on social features might have positioned the PSP as a precursor to modern mobile gaming communities rather than just a portable console. Imagine if Sony had implemented proper messaging, friends lists, and game invites earlier - the PSP could have established the cross-platform social ecosystem that PlayStation Network eventually became. The hardware had the capability, but Sony's hesitancy to embrace online functionality fully limited its potential as a connected device.
  48. The PSP became my definitive JRPG machine during long commutes. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII perfectly balanced nostalgic connection to the original with improvements that made it feel fresh. The streamlined combat system worked wonderfully on portable hardware, while the emotional storytelling reminded me why I fell in love with the genre. Similarly, Persona 3 Portable's daily life simulation was perfect for pick-up-and-play sessions that collectively built into a deeply meaningful experience.
  49. I found the stylus invaluable for the underrated gem Echochrome, where precise line drawing required more accuracy than the analog nub could provide. Similarly, the digital comic reader became my preferred way to consume comics on the go thanks to the stylus making page navigation feel like reading a physical book. These niche applications justified keeping it around even though I'd often go months between uses, representing the PSP's identity as a device with hidden depths beyond mainstream gaming.
  50. A voice assistant could be valuable if implemented thoughtfully for accessibility rather than novelty. For players with motor limitations, voice commands could enable complex actions that require multiple button presses. The key would be ensuring it's entirely optional, extensively customizable, and designed with meaningful input from the disability community rather than being forced on everyone as a flagship feature that most would disable anyway.
  51. Spider-Man delivered the pure joy of movement I've always wanted from superhero games. Web-swinging through Manhattan never grew tedious, with each traverse feeling simultaneously skillful and effortless. The combat struck that perfect balance between accessibility and depth, making me feel genuinely superheroic without sacrificing challenge. Beyond mechanics, seeing my childhood hero portrayed with such obvious affection in both triumphant and vulnerable moments created an emotional connection I wasn't expecting.
  52. As someone who started with PS1, I've witnessed the full evolution of PlayStation graphics, and diminishing returns are definitely setting in. While I appreciated the jump from PS4 to PS5 with ray-tracing and higher framerates, these improvements feel incremental compared to the revolutionary leaps between earlier generations. At this point, I'm more excited by innovations in physics systems, AI sophistication, and world reactivity than I am by pure visual fidelity.
  53. I believe Horizon has enormous untapped potential for the next generation. The rich world-building, compelling protagonist in Aloy, and the blend of primitive and futuristic elements create a unique universe. With Forbidden West expanding the narrative and world, a PS6 entry could leverage even more advanced hardware to create truly breathtaking robot ecology simulations and more densely populated human settlements that weren't possible before.
  54. The PSP store's unique strength was its extensive library of PlayStation classics, offering nostalgic experiences that Nintendo couldn't match with their DS store. However, Sony's rigorous approval process meant fewer independent games compared to Apple's more open approach with the early App Store. The PSP store also emphasized premium experiences at higher price points rather than embracing the free-to-play model that was beginning to dominate mobile gaming.
  55. 1990s: Metal Gear Solid defined cinematic gaming, while Final Fantasy VII revolutionized RPGs. Symphony of the Night and Gran Turismo established genre blueprints still followed today. 2000s: God of War 2, Shadow of the Colossus, and MGS3 showed PS2's artistic potential. Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls closed the decade with new standards for adventure and difficulty. 2010s: Bloodborne, The Last of Us, God of War (2018), and Spider-Man represented PlayStation's narrative golden age. 2020s: Demon's Souls Remake and Returnal set early PS5 benchmarks for technical excellence.
  56. The haptic feedback in the DualSense has completely transformed my immersion level, especially in games like Astro's Playroom where you can feel different surfaces beneath your character. The adaptive triggers are game-changers too - feeling the tension when drawing a bow in Horizon or the resistance when accelerating in Gran Turismo 7 adds a new dimension previously missing from gaming.

I’d love to hear opinions on the potential benefits and drawbacks of such shifts. Do you think AI could ultimately lead to more efficient, ethical, and precise market insights, or might it also introduce unforeseen challenges in data interpretation and privacy issues?
  78. The Last of Us taught me that restraint is often more powerful than spectacle in storytelling. Despite the post-apocalyptic setting, the game focuses on intimate character moments rather than world-ending stakes. The giraffe scene's quiet beauty resonates more than any explosive setpiece could.
  79. The success of time-limited demos for Resident Evil Village and the Remake shows how modern demos can create anticipation while controlling the experience. These demos generated massive social media discussion, effectively functioning as marketing events while still giving players hands-on experience.
  80. The PSP was unquestionably more commercially successful, but the Vita was arguably more influential on Sony's current direction. Features pioneered on Vita like Remote Play, digital-first distribution, and cross-buy have become central to PlayStation's ecosystem, while the PSP's UMD format was abandoned.
  81. Absolutely, but expansion requires more than just selling hardware. PlayStation needs region-specific pricing strategies that reflect local purchasing power, localized content, and infrastructure investments like local servers. Half-measures that don't address these factors have limited Xbox's success in many regions.
  82. Ghost of Tsushima's Legends mode demonstrates how thoughtfully designed cooperative experiences can create positive community engagement. By focusing on collaboration rather than competition and including matchmaking for all activities, it creates a welcoming environment that many online games fail to achieve.
  83. The Last Guardian perfectly demonstrates the power of balancing creativity and narrative by using gameplay mechanics to build emotional connection. The relationship with Trico develops through play rather than cutscenes, showing how creative game design can tell stories in ways unique to the medium.
  84. The PSP was revolutionary in normalizing the idea that portable gaming devices could be multimedia powerhouses. Before smartphones became ubiquitous, my PSP was how I watched movies on flights, listened to music between classes, and browsed photos. It prepared consumers for the multi-function devices we take for granted today.
  85. PlayStation should look at Bethesda's approach to console mods in Fallout 4/Skyrim as a starting point, but go further by creating a standardized modding framework that developers could implement. This would address Sony's security concerns while giving players access to community creativity.
  86. The PS5's noise reduction compared to my jet-engine PS4 Pro has been revelatory for my gaming experience. Being able to play demanding games without headphones at night without disturbing my partner has actually increased how much I play. Noise engineering should remain a priority for Sony.
  87. God of War (2018) masters narrative pacing by telling two stories simultaneously - the immediate journey with Atreus and the gradually revealed backstory of Kratos. The constant drip of character development during gameplay, rather than being segregated to cutscenes, keeps the story moving even during exploration.
  88. Ghost of Tsushima's open world stands out because it respects the player's intelligence. The guiding wind mechanic elegantly replaces intrusive waypoints, while the visual design ensures you're naturally drawn to interesting locations. It's an open world that trusts you to explore without constant handholding.
  89. The adaptive triggers in Returnal completely transformed my experience by providing different resistance for alt-fire modes. Feeling the subtle "click" halfway through a trigger pull creates a tactile language that communicates game mechanics in a way visual or audio cues never could.
  90. Horizon Zero Dawn completely captivated me with its mysterious post-apocalyptic world. Uncovering what happened to civilization while exploring diverse biomes filled with mechanical creatures created a constant sense of wonder. Each ancient ruin revealed new pieces of the fascinating story.
  91. Shadow of the Colossus remains timeless because it stripped gaming down to its essence - pure exploration, discovery, and challenge. The minimalist storytelling and focus on emotional impact rather than dialogue made it feel more like interactive art than just a game.
  92. I think haptic gloves would be revolutionary for PSVR. Imagine feeling textures, resistance, and weight of virtual objects. Combined with the DualSense's haptic technology, this could deliver unparalleled immersion beyond what current controllers offer.
  93. PlayStation's digital media evolution reflects a fascinating shift from technological leadership to ecosystem integration. The PS3 pioneered high-quality media playback with superior Blu-ray and codec support, while later generations prioritized streaming service integration over local playback capabilities. This trajectory suggests Sony recognized that controlling media playback standards became less valuable than creating seamless ecosystem experiences as content increasingly moved to cloud services.
  94. I've discovered the PSP's often-overlooked potential as an audiobook player with superior battery life compared to my phone. The physical buttons allow for easy navigation without looking at the screen, the resume function remembers my place precisely across dozens of books, and the dedicated volume controls are more accessible than smartphone equivalents. This has transformed my PSP into my primary nighttime reading device.
  95. The question of quality reduction requires distinguishing between technical ambition and execution polish. Modern games attempt significantly more complex systems integration than previous generations, creating more potential failure points. What appears as quality reduction often reflects ambition exceeding implementation capability rather than diminished craftsmanship. The studios maintaining consistent quality typically establish realistic scope boundaries rather than promising revolutionary advances with each release.
  96. PlayStation's community feedback handling has evolved significantly but remains inconsistently implemented across different product areas. Their hardware feedback integration (like the DualSense refinements based on accessibility concerns) demonstrates meaningful listening, while their network services often seem resistant to widely requested features. The most effective feedback channels appear to be focused beta programs rather than general forums, suggesting a need for more structured public feedback mechanisms.
  97. Microtransactions create a troubling tension between game design and financial incentives that manifests differently across PlayStation titles. In free-to-play games, they represent a transparent exchange of money for entertainment. In premium titles, however, they often introduce deliberate friction points designed to monetize frustration rather than enhance enjoyment. I find this particularly problematic in single-player narrative experiences where pacing and progression should serve storytelling rather than conversion metrics.
  98. Community-driven content represents PlayStation's most underutilized potential for extending game longevity. The most vibrant gaming communities I've experienced combine official tools with community creativity – like LittleBigPlanet's level creation or Dreams' comprehensive toolset. These ecosystems create symbiotic relationships where community innovation informs official development, extending value for both players and publishers beyond traditional content cycles.
  99. Interactive tutorials represent a meaningful evolution beyond static instruction manuals, but their implementation often lacks contextual awareness. The best system tutorials I've experienced adapt to user behavior, appearing when needed rather than frontloading all instruction. I'd prefer to see PlayStation develop a more intelligent tutorial system that recognizes returning users, remembers previously mastered functions, and only introduces new features as they become relevant.
  100. I've found creating asynchronous time trial tournaments works exceptionally well on PSP. I establish standardized settings (particularly important for racing games with variable assists), create a shared Google Sheet for participants to log times with screenshot verification, and designate specific in-game challenges that showcase both technical skill and creative problem-solving. This approach accommodates different schedules while maintaining competitive integrity.
  101. The Pulse 3D wireless headset stands out for complementing high-fidelity sound systems because it allows seamlessly switching between private and shared audio experiences. The ability to maintain consistent 3D audio processing whether using speakers or headphones creates a coherent sound design experience across different listening scenarios, which is particularly valuable for narrative games where audio cues drive emotional engagement.
  102. In-game economies serve vastly different purposes across genres, which makes universal judgments difficult. In simulation and RPG titles, well-balanced economies create meaningful progression and decision-making. However, the increasing monetization of these systems through microtransactions often creates artificial scarcity in single-player experiences designed to frustrate rather than engage, fundamentally altering game design priorities.
  103. I'm cautiously optimistic about AI in game development when it focuses on enhancing player experiences rather than replacing creative roles. I appreciate AI-driven NPC behaviors that create more dynamic worlds, procedural generation systems that extend replayability, and accessibility features that adapt to player needs. However, I remain concerned about implementations that homogenize game design or prioritize data-driven engagement metrics over artistic vision.
  104. Nostalgia shapes my collecting focus but doesn't dictate value judgments. I specifically seek out games that recreate the emotional atmosphere of middle school afternoons – primarily JRPGs and racing games that defined that era for me. However, I consciously avoid letting rose-colored memories prevent me from recognizing genuine flaws in older titles or appreciating innovations in newer ones.
  105. Personally, I maintain a dedicated testing PSP with a clean installation that I use before deploying mods to my main device. I install mods one at a time, testing core functionality between each addition, and keep detailed notes on file versions and load orders. When conflicts arise, I prioritize understanding which specific files are being modified rather than just removing mods at random.
  106. First, prioritize frame rate stability over maximum settings – a consistent 60fps delivers a better experience than fluctuating between 100fps and 40fps. Second, shadows are typically the most performance-intensive setting with minimal visual impact at medium vs. ultra. Third, test your specific hardware with each game as optimization varies wildly – sometimes DLSS/FSR provides free performance, other times it noticeably degrades image quality.
  107. A cozy game creates a low-stakes environment where failure has minimal consequences. For me, coziness comes from gentle progression systems that reward consistency rather than skill, aesthetically warm environments with natural elements, and gameplay loops that allow me to set my own goals at my own pace without external pressure.
  108. Fortnite's status comes more from cultural phenomenon than game design excellence. The building mechanics create an unreasonably high skill ceiling that contradicts the accessible battle royale format, the constant content updates prioritize novelty over balanced gameplay, and the success metrics measure engagement engineering more than genuinely satisfying player experience.
  109. Ace Combat 7's multiplayer hits the sweet spot between accessibility and depth. The controls are intuitive enough for newcomers while offering enough technical challenge to satisfy flight enthusiasts. The variety of aircraft with meaningful differences creates strategic variety, and the match pacing keeps everyone engaged regardless of skill level.
  110. Journey would be my recommendation for anyone. However, it's vital to ensure that these technologies enhance creativity without overshadowing the core artistic vision of the games.
  132. In-game economies significantly enhance engagement and strategy in PlayStation titles. They encourage player interaction, foster competition, and add depth to gameplay. However, balancing these economies is crucial; they should enhance enjoyment without feeling exploitative or overwhelming to players.
  133. A high-quality pair of headphones, like the Sony WH-1000XM5, is an excellent accessory for enhancing high-fidelity sound on PlayStation. They offer immersive audio, noise cancellation, and comfort, allowing for a superior gaming experience without disturbing others around you.
  134. In my opinion, their first real leap was the N64. The 360° viewing, and 64 bit graphics were more than mind blowing in 1996. Their next big one was the Wii. Motion control was the fevered dream of a madman before that. And now, we have a hybrid system, in the Switch They are showing no signs of slowing down any time in the future. But I still think they shot themselves in the foot, because what's left for them to do? They’ve already done EVERYTHING so their system creativity has to have hit a wall by now. Right?
  135. Same here. I'm sick and tired of hearing about sex, money and drugs in modern rap songs. Like, there's so much more to life than that.
  136. Batman: Under the Red Hood - 9.5/10
  137. Played some Fallout 4 today. I was trying out a new build that'd feature modular weapons so that I could adjust them depending on the combat scenario I found myself in.

  157. Hey fellow PSP enthusiasts! I’ve been experimenting with various mods on my PSP for a while now, and I’m curious how you all ensure that your mods don’t conflict with other software on the system. Do you follow a set of testing procedures, or have you developed specific practices to check for compatibility before installation? I appreciate any tips or step-by-step guides you may have.
  158. On my Steam Deck, I've found creating per-game profiles through Steam Input to be the most reliable approach. I maintain a standard template with common mappings, then create game-specific variations saved to each title. For non-Steam games, I use the external controller configurator in Playnite to maintain similar consistency. The key is documenting your configurations somewhere. I keep a simple spreadsheet noting the specific changes for each game.
  159. I think people misunderstand what valuable modularity really means in gaming PCs. It's not about swappable motherboard components as much as standardized interfaces. The fact that I can use the same GPU across different motherboards is true modularity. The current trend of proprietary modular boards often locks you into a single manufacturer's ecosystem, which is actually less flexible than standard components with universal compatibility.
  160. Honestly, I've had mixed results with optimization tools. While NVIDIA's GeForce Experience occasionally provides decent optimized settings, it often sacrifices important visual elements I wouldn't choose to disable. I've had better luck following specific game optimization guides from Digital Foundry or Hardware Unboxed that explain the performance impact of individual settings. Understanding what each setting actually does has been more valuable than any automated tool.
  161. I'd argue Baldur's Gate 3 offers the most meaningful character customization. Beyond the extensive visual options (which are impressive), your origin, background, class, and dialogue choices create characters that feel genuinely distinct in gameplay. The way NPCs react differently to different character types means your customization choices impact the entire game experience, not just appearances.
  162. I think it's a balancing nightmare. Truly interesting loot disrupts game progression in ways developers struggle to account for. Borderlands manages it with procedural generation, but that creates its own problems with most drops feeling like trash. Games that nail interesting loot (like Path of Exile) usually make it their central mechanic and design everything around it, which isn't feasible for games focused on narrative or other systems.
  163. The Dark Souls approach is my favorite - if something looks important or useful, it probably is, even if not in the way you initially expect. That mysterious axe might be needed for a puzzle later, or reveal a hidden passage, or be connected to a character's backstory. This creates a world where attentive players are rewarded for their curiosity without making everything a weapon. It's about meaningful interaction, not unlimited interaction.
  164. Rain World has simply no parallel in gaming. It creates a genuine alien ecosystem where you're just another creature trying to survive - not the hero, not the chosen one. The creatures have their own behaviors and needs independent of your existence. The completely hands-off approach to player guidance combined with the haunting, beautiful world creates something that defies conventional game design in ways I've never seen attempted elsewhere.
  165. Deep Rock Galactic has the perfect balance of cooperative gameplay and chaotic fun that makes voice chat genuinely enjoyable. Nothing beats the laughs when your team is frantically trying to escape hordes of bugs while someone's drunkenly singing mining shanties. The community is surprisingly wholesome compared to most online games.
  166. Consider your gaming habits honestly. I realized I rarely play more than 3-4 games simultaneously, so a 1TB SSD easily holds my active games. For everything else, I use a 5TB external HDD that I can easily disconnect when not needed. The performance difference in open-world games like Red Dead Redemption 2 is night and day.
  167. Factorio might not seem like a traditional strategy game, but its factory planning demands incredible foresight. I've spent hours plotting out production lines that can scale for late-game demands. When your initial bus design perfectly accommodates rocket fuel production 30 hours later, it's incredibly satisfying.
  168. The Talos Principle stands out for puzzles that combine philosophical concepts with spatial reasoning. What begins as simple object manipulation evolves into mind-bending challenges about consciousness and free will. The puzzles don't just test your intellect but force you to question the very nature of puzzles themselves and why we derive meaning from solving them.
  169. SteamOS on the Steam Deck has revolutionized handheld PC gaming by focusing on console-like simplicity while preserving PC flexibility. The combination of gaming mode for pick-up-and-play sessions and desktop mode for tinkering gives you the best of both worlds. The constant updates have transformed it from promising to polished.
  170. I create game-specific profiles using tools like the built-in performance overlay on Steam Deck. For each game, I'll start with TDP at 15W and gradually reduce it until performance drops, then set it just above that threshold. Some 2D games run perfectly at just 6W, quadrupling my battery life compared to default settings.
  171. For a uniquely PC experience, try Crusader Kings III. It's a medieval dynasty simulator where you manage your royal bloodline through generations of intrigue, warfare, and politics. The depth of systems and mod support make it something you simply couldn't play anywhere else, and it scales well across different PC specs.
  172. Absolutely. Companies like Devolver Digital have built loyal customer bases by taking clear ethical stances against exploitative monetization. In an industry plagued by loot boxes and microtransactions, ethical branding isn't just morally right. It's becoming a competitive advantage as players grow increasingly frustrated with predatory practices.
  173. Inside's wordless narrative still has me theorizing years later. The final sequence especially upended everything I thought I understood about the story. What exactly was the blob? What was the purpose of the mind control helmets? The game provides just enough context clues to form theories but never confirms anything, making discussions about it endlessly fascinating.
  174. Hollow Knight's soundtrack profoundly affected me with its ability to convey emotion without words. Christopher Larkin's score shifts from melancholic piano in Dirtmouth to the frantic strings of Mantis Lords with such elegance. The way the City of Tears theme accompanies that first reveal of the rain-soaked cityscape created one of my most powerful gaming memories.
  175. Monster Hunter World's fourteen weapon types each feel like playing an entirely different game. Learning to master the complex Charge Blade after using the straightforward Sword and Shield is like starting fresh with new mechanics and timing windows. The best part is that all options remain viable throughout the game.
  176. The Witness is unmatched in teaching you to perceive patterns and rules without explicit instruction. The brilliance is how it trains you to recognize visual language—you'll suddenly see solutions in the environment that were invisible before. No other game has made me feel like I'm literally rewiring my brain.
  177. I've never taken a full day off specifically for gaming, but I've definitely scheduled "dentist appointments" that mysteriously coincided with afternoon releases or taken "sick days" that happened to fall on expansion launches. Sometimes a strategic half-day is all you need
  178. Sequels should evolve naturally from valid criticism rather than directly referencing controversies. The Last of Us Part II didn't apologize for the first game's ending but instead explored its consequences thoughtfully. This approach shows more respect for both the narrative and the players' intelligence.
  179. I think the key is shifting from 'shock value' to meaningful exploration of difficult topics. Games like Spec Ops: The Line address war atrocities without glorifying them, forcing players to confront consequences rather than treating controversy as entertainment. Impact comes from emotional depth, not just from being provocative.
  180. Baba Is You revolutionized puzzle design by turning the rules themselves into manipulable objects within the game world. Instead of simply solving puzzles, you're literally rewriting how the game functions. This meta approach to gameplay rules completely subverts player expectations about how games work.
  181. I think it's brilliant when implemented naturally. Ring Fit Adventure turned exercise into genuine gameplay rather than just slapping fitness onto an existing concept. I've stuck with it longer than any gym membership because the RPG elements keep me coming back while the workouts remain challenging.
  182. The balance depends entirely on what the game is trying to achieve. Linear narrative games like The Last of Us need those scripted moments to deliver emotional impact, while sandbox games should emphasize freedom. Problems only arise when games send mixed messages about how much agency players actually have.
  183. I don't think they're overrated when implemented well. A pet that actually helps in combat, finds hidden items, or solves puzzles adds genuine value. The problem is when they're just cosmetic or, worse, require management without providing meaningful benefits. Fallout 4's Dogmeat strikes that perfect balance.
  184. Stardew Valley is my go-to relaxation game. There's something incredibly soothing about tending to crops, fishing by the river, or casually mining without any pressure. I can play for 15 minutes or three hours, and the gentle music instantly melts away my stress.
  185. Forza Horizon 5 is hands-down the best racing game on Windows 10. It perfectly balances arcade fun with simulation elements, has breathtaking graphics, and features hundreds of meticulously detailed cars. The open-world Mexico setting gives you everything from desert racing to mountain drifting.
  186. You should definitely check out Horizon Zero Dawn. While it has a post-apocalyptic setting rather than prehistoric, it captures that same primal hunting experience with bow combat and crafting. The tribal setting and emphasis on nature feels very reminiscent of Primal.
  187. If you enjoy Zuma's marble-shooting mechanics, I'd highly recommend Luxor. It has a similar concept but with an Egyptian theme and some unique power-ups. The HD version looks great on modern systems and still holds up really well today.
  188. I'm searching for games similar to Zuma that feature captivating match-three mechanics or puzzle-solving elements. What titles would you recommend that have engaging gameplay, vibrant visuals, and unique challenges? How do these games compare to Zuma in terms of difficulty, level design, and overall enjoyment? 192. Do you have a favorite casual game that you enjoy playing whenever you need to unwind? What makes it your go-to choice for relaxation? Is it the gameplay mechanics, art style, or perhaps the nostalgia it brings? How does it help you escape the stresses of daily life?
  193. Are pets overrated in games, or do they genuinely enhance gameplay? While some titles showcase pets as vital companions offering unique abilities or narrative depth, others feature them as mere collectibles. How do pets contribute to immersion and player experience in different genres? Are there games that do it exceptionally well?
  194. Super Mario Bros. truly inspired countless clones! Giana Sisters is a classic example, and it’s interesting how Nintendo reacted. Other notable clones include Tux Racer and N and even Yoshi's Island. Many have their charm definitely worth exploring if you enjoy platformers..
  195. Scorpion

    Ellphaser

Ellphaser seems charming with its 2D platforming! While it's a bit short with 40 levels, the potential for replayability makes it intriguing. At just $5, it’s an affordable option to explore, especially for platformer fans. Has anyone played it yet?
  196. Its looks exciting! While I haven’t tried it yet, the game’s vibrant art and engaging gameplay sound appealing. it might be worth checking out.

  199. The tactile response of Atari controllers added a physical dimension to gameplay, enhancing immersion and control. The satisfying click and response encouraged more precise movements, influencing decisions to explore or take risks. This direct feedback created a more engaging and strategic gaming experience.
  200. I believe the Sega Genesis has the most timeless design. Its sleek, minimalist look and iconic button layout make it instantly recognizable. The classic aesthetic resonates with both nostalgia and modern appeal, making it a beloved piece of gaming history.
  201. The Sega Dreamcast was groundbreaking, introducing integrated online capabilities and built-in modem support. Its innovative features like online multiplayer and downloadable content laid the foundation for future consoles, proving that online connectivity was essential for gaming experiences and influencing design for years to come.
  202. Balancing performance and battery life on my handheld gaming device involves adjusting settings. I prioritize lower graphics options for longer playtime and disable background apps. Using performance mode selectively for demanding games helps maintain a good experience without draining the battery too quickly.
  203. I think current operating systems for PC handheld gaming devices, like SteamOS and Windows, have made significant strides. They offer flexibility and access to a wide game library, though optimizing performance and battery life remains a challenge for future development.
  204. My favorite PC game that challenges me with unconventional puzzles is "The Witness." Its stunning environment and thought-provoking puzzle design require out-of-the-box thinking, encouraging exploration and experimentation. Each puzzle beautifully integrates into the landscape, creating an immersive and rewarding experience.
  205. I believe "Civilization VI" offers the best long-term strategic planning elements. Its depth in resource management, diplomacy, and technological progression allows players to develop intricate strategies and adapt to evolving challenges, making each game unique and engaging over time.
  206. When deciding between a larger HDD and a faster SSD for gaming, I consider my priorities. I prefer an SSD for quicker load times and better performance, but if I need extra storage for many games, a larger HDD can complement it well.
  207. But similar kinds of suspension hardware and a more practical Lone Echo 1/2 game would probably be very useful.
  208. Definitely cool and scalable ideas here with a VR HMD, and backpack with a portable processor, a suspension harness/suspension cables, or even a platform hung with suspension cables and safety belts with specific simulation/game content and haptics could put people in space or anywhere. An American Ninja-light obstacle course could simulate something like a John Carter of Mars scenario. Even though the movie was mediocre interacting in those kinds of half gravity environments with simulations of those menacing aliens all around you would be a mind bending experience.
  209. There's a 3-for-1 answer here. In order to learn what to put in the VR simulations employers have to find out from employees what their experiences have been which could be very validating and then of course the training would be better than current methods, I think, to prepare employees for the most scenarios and enlighten them to the experiences of co-workers.
  210. Is this all for market research? Ad revenue? 🤔 📄
  211. Like celery or carrot sticks? It's certainly a healthier option than confectionery. The fibre naturally obtained from vegetables helps to make me feel less hungry, as simple carbs can basically make you feel like eating more processed foods.
  212. Well, Summer Game Fest may hold the answer. https://www.gamesradar.com/games/future-games-show-summer-showcase-2025-date-announcement/
  213. Played Split Fiction with one of my gaming buddies and it's a very good Co-Op experience. Very unique - I actually enjoyed it. Particularly the boss fight with Rader. It was really trippy though with multiple worlds onscreen at once. How I'm describing it isn't even doing it justice right now.
  214. Deciding between a larger HDD and a faster SSD for PC gaming is a dilemma that many gamers face. 223. Neo‑Geo game art remains a timeless testament to creativity and innovation in the gaming world. Its distinctive visual style set it apart, drawing players into immersive, vibrant worlds that enhanced gameplay and cultural appeal. The intricate details in character design and dynamic backdrops established a strong visual identity, resonating with both casual and dedicated gamers. I’m interested to hear your thoughts on how this art direction influenced your experience. Did the stylistic choices elevate the narrative, or perhaps inspire other creative realms?
  224. Pairing creamy dips with crunchy vegetable sticks has long been a delight for taste buds and a favorite topic among food enthusiasts. The interplay of textures and flavors creates a satisfying culinary balance that elevates both the dip and the veggies. Personally, I relish this combination because it transforms simple ingredients into a vibrant, healthy snack that is both indulgent and refreshing. I’m curious how you perceive this duo. Are there specific dips or vegetables you favor, and do you experiment with different seasoning twists?
  225. Spontaneous days off invite us to break free from routine and embrace the unexpected. For me, the thrill of exploring local cafes, parks, or hidden art spots fuels both creativity and relaxation. I relish those moments of decision-less freedom where plans evaporate, and spontaneity takes over. Each unplanned adventure becomes a canvas for personal reflection and renewed energy. I’m curious about your favorite activities during unstructured downtime. Whether it’s hiking, reading, or simply people-watching, share what makes your spontaneous days off memorable, uplifting, and recharging.
  226. Therapeutic hobbies hold a special place in my life, offering solace and a mindful escape from daily stresses. For me, creative writing provides a structured yet liberating outlet to process emotions and experiences. I find that each word, sentence, and narrative builds a safe space for reflection and healing. However, many hobbies from painting to gardening, offer similar benefits. I'm interested in hearing about the therapeutic practices you integrate into your lives. Whether it's music, cooking, or any other passion, share why and how these hobbies serve as your emotional refuge, fostering mental balance and personal growth.
  227. I’ve always believed that learning from others is key to deepening our engagement with hobbies. Whether through online communities, local clubs, or informal mentorships, shared experiences often lead to unexpected breakthroughs in skill and inspiration. I actively seek advice, tutorials, and creative collaborations to elevate my hobby practice. It fascinates me how different perspectives and constructive critiques open up avenues for innovation and growth. I’m curious how you integrate insights from friends, forums, or experts into your pursuits. Share your methods, favorite learning moments, and how the collective wisdom has transformed your hobby journey.
  228. Self-love is pivotal in fostering mental health and overall well-being, yet discussions often overlook its complexities. In my experience, embracing self-compassion transforms everyday challenges into valuable lessons. Nurturing self-love empowers us to set healthy boundaries, pursue personal growth, and cultivate authentic connections. When we practice self-acceptance, we develop resilience and a deeper sense of fulfillment. I invite you all to share insights, personal anecdotes, and practical self-love rituals that have enhanced your lives. How has self-compassion shaped your journey?
  229. F-Zero GX's soundtrack defined the early 2000s gaming era with its blend of rock, electronic, and industrial elements that pushed the GameCube's audio capabilities. The high-energy, technically complex compositions matched the era's emphasis on extreme sports, attitude, and technical showmanship that dominated gaming's aesthetic during that period.
  230. I think Nintendo struggles with pricing psychology in the handheld space. When consumers are conditioned by mobile stores to expect games at $0.99-$4.99, the perceived value of a $59.99 Switch title requires extraordinary justification. And with the Switch 2 having games priced at $80, this is going to be even more of a problem.
  231. I'd love to see a Fire Emblem and Legend of Zelda crossover that combines tactical combat with dungeon exploration. Imagine commanding Link, Zelda, and the Champions alongside Marth, Ike, and Byleth in a strategy game where you'd alternate between large-scale battles and intimate dungeon delving with your favorite heroes.
  232. Nintendo's approach to difficulty creates a unique satisfaction because it rarely feels arbitrary or unfair. When I finally beat a tough Zelda dungeon or challenging Mario level, the accomplishment feels earned through skill growth rather than persistence against random elements like in many roguelikes or punishing RPGs.
  233. I'm always fascinated by how Nintendo started as a playing card company in 1889 and spent decades making hanafuda cards before entering the toy and eventually electronic entertainment business. This long history of analog gaming seems to inform their approach to design - focusing on physical interaction and tangible joy rather than just visual spectacle.
  234. The nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor deserves to be in far more games than just Warner Bros titles. The way it creates personalized villains and emergent storytelling through gameplay rather than scripted events feels like a genuine evolution in game design that's been tragically underutilized due to patent restrictions.
  235. ARK: Survival Evolved becomes an entirely different (and much better) experience on a properly configured dedicated server where you can adjust the punishing grind and create a more balanced ecosystem. The default settings are brutal, but with custom rates and mods, it transforms into the dinosaur sandbox of my dreams.
  236. The inventory full/cannot carry more items notification sounds haunt my dreams. The worst offender was Fallout 4's 'You're carrying too much and cannot run!' alert combined with the movement penalty. The sound design actively punished you aurally and mechanically for an already frustrating gameplay limitation.
  237. I've noticed a concerning trend where PC ports are treated as afterthoughts rather than dedicated products. Games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part I launched with inexcusable optimization issues despite their massive budgets. It feels like publishers are relying on post-launch patches rather than proper QA testing.
  238. Preston Garvey from Fallout 4 drove me to the brink of sanity with his endless settlement quests. What makes him particularly frustrating isn't just the repetition, but how his character was reduced to a walking quest dispenser despite having an interesting backstory that could have been developed meaningfully.
  239. Surprisingly, many last-gen AAA titles run decently on modest hardware if you're willing to tweak settings. Games like Metal Gear Solid V, Tomb Raider (2013), and even The Witcher 3 scale remarkably well on older systems with their minimum settings providing an enjoyable experience despite the visual downgrade.
  240. I used to religiously claim every free game, but realized I was developing a massive backlog of titles I'd never touch. Now I only claim games I genuinely want to play. Epic's freebies have become more of a stress than a benefit when they're just contributing to digital clutter.
  241. I've started waiting at least a month after release before deciding on purchases. By then, the initial hype has settled, major bugs are usually patched, and players have discovered any end-game content issues. Patient gaming has saved me from countless disappointing day-one purchases that seemed amazing in reviews.
  242. I've always been partial to skill trees that allow for true specialization rather than just stat increases. Games like Path of Exile or Skyrim where you can create wildly different character builds based on your choices feel more rewarding than simple level-up systems
  243. From Skyrim, here are some of my favorite mods: Vokriinator - It's a perk overhaul that's a combination of many popular ones like Ordinator, Vokrii, Sperg and Adamant. It allows you to make very unique builds Apocalypse - Magic mod with lots of new and useful spells for each school of Magic. Arcanum - Another Magic mod with lots of useful spells that have interesting combination effects when used together. Thoom SE - Dragon Shout mod that adds shouts from the Elder Scrolls Lore
  244. The original NES Ninja Gaiden remains my benchmark for punishing difficulty. The combination of knockback mechanics, limited lives, and no save points meant that completing it required near-perfect execution for extended periods with zero room for error. Modern 'hard' games are far more forgiving.
  245. My experience in improv theater has made dialogue-heavy RPGs with branching conversations much more engaging. I approach character interactions in games like Mass Effect or Disco Elysium as improvised scenes, making choices based on character consistency rather than optimal outcomes.
  246. The gravity gun in Half-Life 2 had so much potential beyond what the game required. Outside of Ravenholm and a few puzzles, the game rarely encouraged truly creative uses of physics manipulation, which felt like a missed opportunity for emergent gameplay.
  247. If you haven't played The Outer Wilds, drop everything else and experience it blind. It's a perfect example of adventure game design where discovery and knowledge are your only tools, with one of the most satisfying narrative loops I've ever encountered in gaming."
  248. The original Doom's door opening sound still makes me laugh because it sounds exactly like an empty stomach growling. Once you hear it that way, you can never unhear it. I wonder if the sound designers were just really hungry during development.
  249. Final Fantasy VII's Aerith scene hit me like nothing else in media had before. As a teenager who hadn't experienced much loss, having a character I'd invested in suddenly taken away taught me something about grief that books and movies hadn't managed to convey.
  250. The increasing normalization of microtransactions in full-priced games is my biggest frustration. When a $70 game launches with a store selling cosmetics that would have been unlockable content in previous generations, it feels like the art form is regressing.
  251. SteamDB has advanced filtering options that can help with this. You can search for games that support certain languages and exclude others, though it takes some manual work. Their interface is more powerful than Steam's built-in store filters.
  252. I still enjoy multiplayer, but exclusively with pre-made groups of friends. The quality of random matchmaking seems to have deteriorated over the years, with increased toxicity, cheating, and smurfing making casual play increasingly frustrating.
  253. I've come to appreciate finalized, complete experiences more as I've gotten older. There's something satisfying about playing a game that was released as a cohesive artistic vision rather than an evolving platform. Elden Ring and God of War delivered complete experiences that respect my time.
  254. Microsoft Flight Simulator deserves special mention - it's not just rendering detailed aircraft but literally the entire planet with real-time weather data. Even high-end systems struggle with maxed settings, especially when flying over densely detailed cities.
  255. Both serve different purposes for me. 3D games like Mario Odyssey create wonder through exploration and discovery, while 2D games like Celeste offer tightly designed challenge sequences. The best developers understand the strengths of their chosen dimension.
  256. I maintain subscriptions to both Game Pass and PS Plus, but find myself playing my owned Steam library more often. There's a weird psychological pressure with subscriptions where I feel compelled to 'get my money's worth' rather than just playing what I truly want.
  257. Revisiting The Witcher 3 with all the next-gen updates and mods I never tried before. It's fascinating how a few graphical improvements and quality-of-life changes can make a seven-year-old game feel completely fresh again.
  258. Sir, You Are Being Hunted might be what you're looking for - it's a British-themed survival game where you're hunted by tweed-wearing robot gentlemen across procedurally generated countryside. It's definitely unique and fits your robot survival criteria.
  259. Journey's wordless exploration and flowing movement through sand and ruins creates an almost spiritual experience for me. The minimal UI, beautiful soundtrack, and absence of combat allows complete immersion in simply existing in that beautiful world.
  260. Character creation is my weakness - I'll easily spend an hour tweaking facial features and researching optimal builds before even starting the game. Half the fun is planning who I want to be in this new world
  261. Bethesda games and I have a love-hate relationship. In Fallout 4, my main questline bugged out completely around 30 hours in. Despite trying every console command fix I could find, I eventually had to start over from scratch.
  262. Kingdom of Loathing doesn't look impressive at first glance with its stick figure art, but it's packed with clever writing, deep systems, and genuinely funny humor. Plus, the community has kept it thriving for almost 20 years now.
  263. I'm diving back into Baldur's Gate 3 for another playthrough, this time as a Druid. There's something addictive about finding new dialogue options and story branches I missed the first time around.
  264. I agree. That's why I don't want Konami trying to remaster Symphony Of The Night either. The biggest issue I have with remasters is when they make a horrible one that ruins a game's legacy and dishonors the original it was based on. Or deviates so much from the original game that it might as well be a spinoff.
  265. Crashlands 2 just came out today, has anyone here purchased it yet? Is it worth checking out? I never played the first game, so this is honestly the first time I heard of this series. But it looks like a lot of fun. It's out now for PC and looks to be releasing on mobile platforms like the Apple App Store and the Play Store. You can check it out on Steam here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/391730/Crashlands/

    Ellphaser

Ellphaser looks like a cute 2D platformer. It just released a couple days ago on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store. I'm hearing it is a bit on the short side with like 40 levels, but it looks like there's some replayability here. But it's only $5, so not too bad.
  268. Super Mario Bros. is one of the most copied game ever. These been a history of many clone games that copy the gameplay and graphics. Not only that, the many bootlegs that released with ROM hacks with variations of the SMB games. How many clone games really exist out there that heavily copy the Super Mario games? One game that always comes to mind is the Giana Sisters, that game was heavily inspired by SMB. I heard Nintendo even forced them to remove the game from store shelves in the UK. But I see it's still a popular series that has had new games released somewhat recently. There's also SuperTux, which is a free opensource game that you can download on most Linux operating systems. I played it once on Ubuntu and thought it was fairly decent. But what are some of the other clone games that were very similar to SMB? Are there any that are actually good and worth checking out?
  269. Isn't this basically the same as this thread you posted on Monday? And almost daily your posting a new thread in the vain of "In looking for reconditions for *insert genre* type games and just abandoning the threads you already have. Two days maximus and you abandon your own threads like you give a damb. People see that you don't care about what you post, so they don't care either. Slow down. Don't just litter the forum with new threads because you can, post stuff you actually care about and give people a chance to respond before burying your own content. Because this thread serves the basically same purpose as the other thread, I'm locking this one.
  270. Resident Evil 2. The original. By the way, I didn't know Elmer Fudd joined YouTube to discuss its remake. 🐇 😆

    La Quimera

La Quimera looks promising, combining narrative depth with a sci-fi FPS experience in a vibrant Latin American setting! I'm excited about Reburn's debut release. The closed beta sounds like a great opportunity definitely signing up before it’s too late!
  289. KARMA: The Dark World sounds intriguing! The blend of detective work and psychological elements in a dystopian setting is captivating. I'm definitely interested in the tech aspect of mind exploration. The price is reasonable too! Looking forward to trying it on Steam!
  290. The article raises valid concerns about Microsoft’s AI-generated demo. While AI has potential in enhancing gaming, over-reliance could hinder creativity and quality. Balancing AI assistance with human input is crucial to avoid diminishing game experiences.
  291. I think a turn-based tactics game set in the Rainbow 6 universe could be exciting! The top-down style like XCOM would offer a fresh approach to the franchise. I’d definitely be interested in checking it out.
  292. It's being said that Ubisoft is currently developing a turn-based tactics game that will be set in The Rainbow 6 universe. Rumors are saying that the game will feature a top-down view similar to games like XCOM and Diablo 4. The article mentions a heavily resemblance to XCOM though. Would you like to see Ubisoft make a turn-based tactics game based in the Rainbow 6 universe? Or would you rather not play a game like this? Check out the source of this news here: https://insider-gaming.com/rainbow-six-turn-based-game/
  293. You just said the exact same thing that @killamch89 said. You used the same words and almost quoted him directly. Please think your posts more thoroughly in the future. Now, to respond to the post, a lot of us classic gamers will be disgusted by remasters of our old and beloved games. Nostalgia is a very big thing for us, but sometimes a remaster is the only way kids today can experience the games we grew up playing. But going for AAA style graphics to play SMB1 is a step too far. Just look at Super Mario All Stars. They updated the graphics, and classic gamers hated it, myself included. It just wasn’t the same game. Link’s Awakening is a perfect example. Sure it’s the same game (more or less) but at the same time it’s not.
  294. KARMA: The Dark World is a new cinematic psychological thriller that is set in a more dystopian world. It seems you play as some sort of detective investigating crimes by using tech to look through the minds of those accused. I'm all for a detective story. It looks quite appealing and for the price, it's not that bad. You can get it now on Steam here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1376200/KARMA_The_Dark_World/ And I believe it's also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

    La Quimera

La Quimera is an upcoming narrative driven sci-fi FPS that will be set in a futuristic Latin American megalopolis. It's from the people at Reburn. This looks to be their first ever release. It's coming out on PC via Steam April 25th 2025. There will also be a closed beta for 24 hours starting on April 12th at 7AM PT / 2 PM UTC / 10AM EST You have a limited time to sign up, but you can sign up for said closed beta on their steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2282350/La_Quimera/
  296. Source - https://insider-gaming.com/final-fantasy-9-remake-seemingly-teased-by-square-enix/ So it seems that a Final Fantasy 9 remake is coming, as it seems recently it was teased by Square Enix on Twitter. You can view the tease below: Do you think this is enough to confirm a FF9 Remake?

  298. Donkey Kong is back in Donkey Kong Bananza, an exclusive that will release on the new Switch 2 consoles. Who here is hyped for this one? It seems to mix of a 3D Open World with some 2D side scrolling sections. It's coming out July 17th 2025.
  299. Check out this article here - https://www.pcgamer.com/software/ai/microsoft-unveils-ai-generated-demo-inspired-by-quake-2-that-runs-worse-than-doom-on-a-calculator-made-me-nauseous-and-demanded-untold-dollars-energy-and-research-to-make/ The article above discusses Microsoft's reveal of a new AI-generated demo that is heavily inspired by Quake II. The demo was supposed to showcase advanced AI capacities, but according to the author of the article, he mentioned the demo ran poorly, so bad that it was compared to playing the original Doom on a basic calculator, but worse. The demo shows off a location similar to what you'd see in Quake II, but using AI, they then create enemies and gameplay visuals on the fly. I guess someone worked really hard on this too. But if this is a sign of things to come, I'm a big worried. To me, their intent sounds like they want to AI to just produce the games for them. Or that's the point they want to get to. And to be fair, AI has been used forever in gaming. And I think this type of AI can be used to improve upon games, but I do have worries that they will rely too much on these type of AI tools to make their games. What do you guys think though?

  320. Adolf has hated this country and its people his entire life. He saw the White House as a means to alienate us, completely destroy our economy, and let bigotry run rampant. We're no longer a world power or even a nation. We're a third world country and ruled by a dictator with an iron fist. The constitution no longer matters. It's nothing but old paper. He probably plans on taking it out of the Smithsonian and literally wiping his fat diseased ass with it. Nazism and Fascism is what our political system is now.
