  1. Past hour
  2. Cuphead would be my game that I have had and could not complete. I remember seeing so many playing the game on live streams and knowing the kind of game it was and how difficult it was, when I saw it in sale, I snagged it. I played it for around half an hour before rage quitting and not going back. I do still have the game should I ever want to try again.
  3. With the way video games are released today, some either fully working and others broken, full of bugs and even severe issues, I do feel that video game prices are quite steep. I can understand the developers wanting to make money but over the years, video games have sky rocketed to prices that are in some cases, unaffordable for some, and for those who are able to purchase them, there are many times when they feel let down or are not happy with the finished product.
  4. I am always happy knowing that there are a great range of games for children to play on PC and even on console depending on how they prefer to play video games. Minecraft is one that springs to mind for me when it comes to children and games to play on PC and even console. Minecraft is great for learning and fun with a lot of exploration. With the creative mode, it allows them to free roam and have fun doing whatever their mind desires.
  5. I wouldn't say that anyone walked in on me during an embarrassing moment when I was playing a video game but I have had family members in the room at the time and also been live streaming when something embarrassing has happened to me. Usually it is me dying in a silly way. Fortnite and Destiny 2 were two games where I would die and it could have been avoidable, sure got me and everyone else laughing though!
  6. The longest time I spent playing a video game in one day was when I sat and played Fortnite for 9 hours straight back in 2021 with a few breaks just to get up, stretch my legs, do what I needed and to grab a drink or food. I remember this was when I was live streaming frequently and I was enjoying playing so much, me and my daughter just kept playing.
  7. Microsoft Flight Simulator would be the one I find difficult to even get into. I hear so many people who play this game daily and have hours of fun playing but when I tried it, I just couldn't stay focused at all and found I soon turned the game off. Don't get me wrong, the game looks amazing, it is just not one that keeps me interested for as long as I would want to be.
  8. These are some great new releases for the PSVR 2! I always love to see a huge influx of new games that look interesting and make you eager to want to play them. My youngest son and eldest son love VR so these games will be something they will be interested in.
  9. I have always enjoyed video games that offer the player to narrate the game through choices they make throughout the game. All too often you will see many playing the same games and if you are like me, and watch videos online of the games you play, if they are straight forward and the story is already written for you, you end up playing the game knowing what is going to happen. With the option of choices for the player to narrate the story, you will get a different outcome each time and I enjoy that.
  10. I love that we have player creativity in gaming and it seems to be a lot more prominent now too. There is nothing better than a new lease of life on a game and being able to create your own world within a game so to speak. I would love to see more video games that offer player creativity.
  11. When it comes to the ultimate gamer question that I ask to help spark a discussion about gaming, it is usually what games they enjoyed on the Sega Master System. The Sege Master System was the first console my brothers and I got gifted for Christmas and I always remember my favourite game on that console was Alex The Kidd. It is always nice to hear others answers and it usually sparks a great conversation 🙂
  12. The last game I played was BTS Island ~ In the Seom just last night on my mobile. Being a BTS game and also a game that I enjoy as well, it's a great game to relax with on a night when everything is calming down. I was on it around 4 hours last night and couldn't believe how fast time flew!
  13. Today
  14. This year, Summer Game Fest takes places on the 6th of June. So be sure to mark it in your gaming diary. 🙂
  15. I'd say *Hades* best exemplifies creative game design on Game Pass. Its unique blend of roguelike elements, compelling narrative, and challenging but rewarding combat is truly innovative.
  16. Live news feeds on the Xbox dashboard are a mixed bag. Helpful for quick updates, but can be distracting, especially during gameplay. A toggle would be ideal.
  17. Xbox controller battery life has significantly improved over the years, a welcome upgrade. While still not perfect, the extended playtime is a definite plus for gamers.
  18. I find futuristic themes in Xbox sci-fi titles compelling, particularly when they explore complex social and ethical dilemmas. Visually stunning worlds and innovative gameplay mechanics are a plus, but the narrative's depth matters most.
  19. Xbox fosters collaboration through programs like the Xbox Game Studios Partner program and the Indie Games Fund. These initiatives provide funding, resources, and distribution channels, encouraging large and small studios to work together on shared projects.
  20. While many Neo-Geo titles excel, *King of Fighters '94* arguably boasts the best overall mechanics. Its responsive controls, deep character roster, and engaging fighting system are unparalleled for the era.
  21. The Neo-Geo MVS's standout feature was its unparalleled 2D graphical fidelity, exceeding arcade rivals. Coupled with its impressive sound and a library of excellent fighting and other genres, it offered a superior gaming experience. This cemented its place as a significant advancement in arcade technology.
  22. Neo-Geo games' enduring appeal stems from their crisp visuals, tight controls, and often innovative gameplay mechanics. Their dedication to 2D perfection, coupled with a rich history of beloved franchises, keeps them fresh for players today. The sense of accomplishment from mastering challenging levels also adds to their lasting impact.
  23. Neo-Geo games, with their distinctive art style and tight controls, would benefit immensely from modern remastering. Improved textures, sharper visuals, and higher resolutions could breathe new life into these classics without compromising their charm. Enhanced audio would also significantly elevate the experience.
  24. Sega's graphics evolution was a fascinating, if sometimes frustrating, journey. Early titles like *Ecco the Dolphin* showed promise, but the leap to the Genesis's later, more detailed, and vibrant visuals was significant. The company's approach to polygons and textures, while not always perfect, paved the way for later generations.
  25. While many are strong contenders, *King of Fighters '94* likely holds up best. Its gameplay remains engaging, its characters iconic, and its visual style, though dated, still holds a timeless appeal.
  26. The Neo-Geo's sharp, vibrant graphics and emphasis on authentic arcade-style presentation heavily influenced 90s arcade aesthetics. Its meticulous detail and high frame rate set a new standard for visual quality, inspiring a trend towards more polished and impressive visuals.
  27. A physical keyboard, or at least a more responsive touchscreen, would have dramatically improved the N-Gage's versatility. Typing, navigation, and more complex controls would have opened up a wider range of games and applications.
