  1. It's a difficult balance, for sure. I think The Last Of Us did it just right as it makes every bullet and shiv feel important. Dead Space 1 and the Silent Hill games also does resource management right. Giving too much ammo and resources to players often detracts from the horror experience and it tends to lean into a more action-focused experience, which is what happened to Dead Space 3.

I place 0 stock in Halloween, I'm actually avoiding a Podcast this month because they won't shut up about it. 😛 (Looking at you, Stuff To Blow Your Mind.) Nah, it sounds pretty good though. I especially love the sound of it not being two people who are already on board. I'll let you know what I think!

Yeah, The Parapod is a really good podcast! It's mostly non-fiction and based on real-life stories. It's made up of two guys with really good chemistry. One guy really believes in the paranormal and the other - his best friend - doesn't believe at all. It's a nice mixture of pragmatism, humour and the paranormal. Check out the first episode and I'm sure you'll know if it's for you or not after that! Listening to it around Halloween is timely, too:)

  5. So true. And yeah while I enjoy all of the games, Curse will always be my favourite in terms of writing.

    Find annoying?

Actually yes, add this to my list as well. I skip intros and cut scenes as a matter of routine. I mean, maybe if I am really invested I'll watch them - but I'm rarely invested in a game to that extent. If I wanna kick back and watch something, I have NetFlix.

  7. Escape From Monkey Island had it's moments - but it definitely is a step back. "Look at the size of her...Ponytail." The first two, were certainly nowhere close to as well done as Curse though. I mean, Curse has Murray - and Murray is golden.

  8. Gonna have to look up some gameplay of the Robocop Vs Terminator game. Sounds right up my alley. I don't know how I've not played it! Shame on me!

  9. Yeah the Ocean games are pretty fun. I also loved Robocop vs Terminator on Sega Mega Drive.

  11. Yeah, I have no idea how I missed this on my first playthrough. I'm guessing now that I'm on the lookout for it, I'll probably notice it everywhere, lol.

    Old consoles?

I still kick myself to this day, my brother wanted it and I was busy getting into the PS2. Not long after did I get an urge to want to play it again.
