  1. So tempted to pick up an NES mini console. I've heard the controller length is super short, but the list of games looks pretty damn tantalising. It's around £50 at the moment in the UK. Has anyone else got one? What're your thoughts on the console?

    Candy crush ????

Maybe this should be in gaming , not sure.. But I haven't played it very long, but recently the language setting changes to anything but English. Anyone notice this?

    Buying gaming equipment.

Where do you look and buy equipment.. Do you do a lot of research or just buy what you want? How often do you upgrade game boxes? I just bought off of ebay and looking for games between amazon and ebay..

    Just Dance 2019

So today I picked Just Dance 2019 up for the Nintendo Switch. Every year I always buy my children Just Dance and all them to have it on New Years Eve for some fun and to help pass the time. This time I decided to purchase it on the Nintendo Switch as I own one now and for a different experience, we always get it on the Xbox One so having it on a different console will be different for everyone this year. What are your thoughts on this years Just Dance 2019 and what console have you purchased it on?

    Sonic Franchise

The common thread you'll see among many people is that Sonic Games are inconsistent. However, Sonic Mania / Generations / Boom: Shattered Crystal & Fire & Ice / Unleashed / Colors have proven that 3D sonic games can work and be excellent. It's just a matter of having an adequate sense of taste. Heck, 1/3 of Sonic 06 is good in terms of level design and exploration and if you have a doubt about that, you can go and play the fan re-creation demos.

    25 years of DOOM

That looks so bad but I'd imagine it was way ahead of it's time back in the day! I remember using those calculators when I was in school. 🙂 They were stupid expensive!

  7. That's very true! I forgot you could play the campign co-op. I might have to get my boyfriend to sit down with me when we both have time and play through the campaign together. 🙂 There are so many games I'd like to complete but not enough time to do so! There just aren't enough hours in a day to complete all the games I wanna complete! 😄

    25 years of DOOM

I never really got into the Doom series. It's pretty amazing that it's turned 25 years old though. Not too many franchises ever get to see that age before they die off into obscurity. 🙂 I might have to try the original Doom games sometime. 🙂 I do enjoy FPS games so I might have to try Doom sometime. I know you can get it on pretty much any device nowadays. I heard you could even get it on a calculator back in the day! Now that is amazing. 🙂

  11. My favourite thing about Black Ops 3 was the ability to play the campaign co-op. I legit wish more CoD games would have a co-op campaign. I love the competitive modes but co-op helps add more diversity.

  12. Metroid Prime 4 is top of my list, though it'll likely not release in 2019. It'd be nice to see Dark Souls 2 come over (which is pretty likely). And I'd love a port of Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas.

  13. I would have to say that Black Ops 3 was probably one of my favourites in terms of a Call of Duty, this was the first game I was able to gain prestige master on and actually enjoyed working my way towards that rank. I still even now go back to it quite often and have fun with it and I feel like I will be going back to it more often. Black Ops 4 is good but it definitely doesn't beat Black Ops 3.

  14. Interesting and hard question to answer. Personally, it would be Skyrim for me as you have the opportunity to build the ideal character and you have numerous choices and decisions in the game to make. I'd definitely would have paid more money as the Graphics are realistically astonishing.

    25 years of DOOM

Wow! I didn't know it was around for that long. This is one of my all time favourite games. My dad gave this to me in the early nineties and it got me hooked to shooting games. I was addicted to DOOM though. I would go straight to my computer when I got home from school and played it till my parents yelled for me to do my homework. lol I'm going to GameStop soon so I can get it for PS3 or a newer PC version. I've only ever played it on PC so I'm good either way. Best game ever though.

  16. I am very impressed with Cyberpunk 2077. Honestly would not be surprised one bit if it outsold RDR2.

    Super overrated games?

I actually used to agree with Skyrim. I hated how it streamlined too much, even more than Oblivion, and it had a crappy story, cities, and factions for the most part. But I've actually changed my mind about it with the Switch release. I like it a lot more now but it still doesn't live up to even Oblivion let alone Morrowind. That said, my actual overrated choice is the original Red Dead Redemption. That game is terribly boring to me. I gave it like 8 hrs when it came out and traded it in right after. After beating RDR2, I watched all of the cutscenes on YouTube of the original and the story doesn't even seem worth playing it for me honestly.

    Living Alone/With People

Love the freedom of living alone. And having myself to blame for messes and a dirty house.

    Living Alone/With People

Voted. I'm living alone, it gets quite lonely and there is also an element of lack of safety, occasionally. Looking at the positives, living alone provides you with complete privacy and freedoom. There are negatives and positives for whatever your choice is.

    Nintendo 64 Mini

Yes, I think the N64 Classic is not only likely, but inevitable. It just might take a year or two just to make sure there are plenty of NES and SNES Classics in circulation before moving on to the next one. Also the longer they wait, the cheaper the technology gets. Losing out on nearly every Rare game will be a bummer, but I feel like they can still work around that and build a decent library using mostly first-party games. I'm thinking they could do a console with maybe 16 games and it would be quite appealing. Super Smash Bros Super Mario 64 Paper Mario Mario Kart 64 Mario Party 2 Donkey Kong 64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Star Fox 64 F-Zero X Pokemon Snap 1080 Snowboarding 3 third party games - maybe Bomberman 64, Harvest Moon 64, and Castlevania Legacy of Darkness? You could also consider Yoshi's Story, Pilotwings 64, Wave Race 64, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Sin & Punishment, and several others. Controller-wise, I think they should pack-in 2 controllers. That way you can do multiplayer right out of the box, which was a big emphasis for the 64. It's going to be a big box, but whatever. That also reduces the supply strain on people trying to get their hands on people trying to get their 3rd and 4th controllers. Price-wise I think they could aim for $80 to $100. Spare controllers could come in at maybe $15 to $18 a pop.
