  1. 2019 is the year of remakes, and shitty sequels.

  2. When No Man’s Sky came out, I remember everyone got so down about it. Since then, I’ve heard lots of people say it’s actually a pretty awesome game in many respects, but the over-hyping made it a disappointment compared to unrealistic expectations. I still have not played it, but I want to. What are some other games that suffered from that kind of over-hyping?

But Minecraft isn't a Survival game, is it?

  4. 🙌Praise Ewan McGregor he was the real MVP on the prequels.

  5. 100% this. The prequels were objectively bad movies. I rewatched them recently and somehow they’re *worse* than I remember them. The latest Disney flicks are masterpieces compared to that rubbish. Ewan McGregor was ok, though.

  6. I think it was the best decision, George Lucas gave us Jar Jar and Hayden Christensen those two are the real sins in the Star Wars movies.

  7. Damn this post was all fired up 😂 I didn't even notice. I will just leave my opinion: The appeal of soul games is to be difficult, thats what makes them popular, yes they target a specific audience because they know casual gamers (like myself) will not purchase this game. When you are selling something regardless of what it is you have to know your market and these games where made for gamers who enjoy a challenge since this is where the developers and publishers will get their profits. They didnt exclude anybody from playing the game, anyone can walk up to a game store and purchase these games and play them, is not like they where made for 3 arm people. (but it damn looks like 😆). Anyway going back to the topic: Should all games have an "easy" mode? for me the answer is No, most games do have a difficulty selection since they want to target as many gamers as possible but for Soul games being difficult is what makes them to stand out in a very competitive gaming market.

  11. Super excited about - as both a huge L for alt right idiots and a big W for seeing the end of a great trilogy done the way the original creator wanted.

  12. Link's Awakening for the original Gameboy. I took it with me on vacation to India for a Summer and I was engrossed in it. It felt like I was on an adventure in the real world, and when we got back to the relative familiarity of a hotel I could play Link going on his little adventure.

  13. There are some politicians that believe this nonsense as well or rather, they always try to shift the blame so I don't expect any better from them. Millennial parenting, in general, is failing the future so things will continue to get a lot worse.

  14. It has been on my list of games to try but somehow I still haven't gotten around to it. Believe me, I know that the story is extremely immersive because that's the first thing I always hear about the series and I'm a sucker for immersive stories.

  16. Thank you for always wanting to include the noob! 🙂 I really get more invested the more I play the game. The more I get to know the character and the more I see the story unfold and the more I'm entertained by it basically. Take Skyrim. The storyline is good, but what's really gotten me invested is getting to know the amazing world more and more as time has passed. With Left4dead, as far as I remember, I got invested because the game is just hilarious (and I was playing it with a great friend - whi I unfortunately don't have him anymore). The Sims I get invested the more I develop the characters, which takes time. As far as I can remember I never really got invested in Borderlands or Portal 2, but I also only played them shortly, so long ago I don't actually remember what the games were like. So yeah, a combination of time, commitment, entertainment and story.

  17. Try and play Bioshock if you get the chance, guys! I’ve been replaying it recently and it absolutely stands up today. Definitely one of my favourite games. Get on it! 🙂

  18. Absolutely. It’s hard to imagine but if both Will Smith and Sandra Bullock did get the main roles, The Matrix would definitely not have been the same film tonally. Whenever I try and imagine it, it hurts my head, lol.

    Disabled Gamers

I'm actually surprised by the percentage of people here who have mentioned a disability. It makes sense though. As you point out, games are probably more accessible to a lot of people with disabilities than other activities might be. I make jewelry, and I've noticed the same is true for crafting. Come to think of it, the disabled crafters I've met through jewelry-making are also into gaming.
