  1. Coolest undead, idk, maybe Pyramid Head in Silent Hill. I don't play many horror games sadly. I would also add the tank from Left 4 Dead. As for the games that have done it the best, the TLOU, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, and I'm drawing a blank on others. I know there are more.

  2. As petty as Nintendo can be about these sort of things, I actully agree with them and thier right to put an end to this. This buisness is utterly dependant on the Mario Kart theme to do buissness, and if they make money on this without a proper licence and permisson from Nintendo, then this legal action is 100% warrented. The only reason this company doing the Mario Kart tours are getting any sympathy over this is because Nintendo have a reputation about being petty whe it comes to protecting thier intellectual property, but to me this is not an example of them being petty, this is what copyright law is for.

  3. What do you think about this game? I used to play it a lot but I think it is overplayed for me now. Maybe I just played it too much.

    Gambling in video games

How do you feel about gambling in video games? Not loot boxes specifically (we have threads on that), but like casino games and such like in GTA Online.

  7. If you could redecorate your home (and redesign the building) in a style from any game you have played, what would you choose? I would probably want to redo mine in an art deco/Rapture style from BioShock.

Hi everyone, am Peter. Am not a gamer, streamer or into any gaming community. I am based on mobile games and I love watching live streams both on YouTube and Facebook.

  11. I'm not sure I like the idea of discussing this without considering lootboxes in the discussion. Yes, several videogames include simulations of real world gambling that don't involve real money, but that kind of discussion the impact of predatory practices. With some exceptions, like the poker minigame in RDR, Gun, the slots in Fallout New Vegas, there is there's really no reason to include them. Some games include them for thematic reasons, and that's fine, but I just don't trust random chance mechanics in videogames, even when there's no real money involved. Like I said, the possible negative effects should not be desensitizied. That's one way they have roping people in.

  12. I very much like to gamble, but it's far more fun and safer with fake video game money. I'd rather have that as a safe outlet for my habit than suffer withdrawal symptoms and possibly relapse into going into real money gambling, a problem I've spoken about in threads you mention regarding loot boxes. If I had to choose my favourite games, farkle from Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an unusual but incredibly fun dice game especially because you can cheat with all manner of collectable die. However for a more conventional game, I can't go wrong with any game's version of Texas Hold 'Em, or bog standard Poker.

  13. It's because of this enemy that I'm probably going to give up trying to escape them and begin a new playthrough when better prepared, but the Skeleton Beast from Dark Souls is one of the coolest monsters I've ever seen. Essentially it's a giant skeleton on all fours that swipes and leaps at the player, which isn't too scary in itself save for the damage it does. It's more that you can't see it until it's too late, even with the lantern that illuminates the unnatural darkness within the cave. I say "one of", but contendors in addition to the Skeleton Beast include the Bone Tower, the eldritch equivilant of a Pokey; and the Wheel Skeleton, or "zoombies" as I call them for their immense speed shooting out of the darkness.

  14. I usually just get all of my stuff from Amazon, or official stores. I have considered buying from people on etsy before, but haven't pulled the trigger on any gaming related stuff. I have a ton of stuff liked on there though. 😄 As for other stores, I like places that sell collectibles and oddities, but I can't think of any names off the top of my head.

    Video games at work

Funny enough that was the exact game we played with my co-workers. One day we stayed late and just played through the night. It was 2008 or 2009 I think. My current co-workers are not big gamers unfortunately. But then again, there aren'T many new games that would be fun to play with friends, most don't even have lan multiplayer.

  16. I got addicted to Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest, a ripoff of Vikings: War of Clans, which is arguably already a ripoff of the browser game Travian. It practically requires addiction, clicking ever popup to build your stronghold because you can lose everything at a moment's notice in its dog-eat-dog setting. This was only exacerbated by joining a #1 ranked Warband (guild) where one had to move in locked step to the leader's orders, kicking and repeatedly pillaging those who weren't active for any more than 24 hours at a time. The glory was short lived as we massively outranked our enemies, allowing them only to rebuild their forces so we could take pleasure in a slightly more evened playing field, still in our favour. I eventually had to quit as I couldn't keep up with my comrades-in-arms, paying their way to the top where I refused to give any more than £20 in total before I descended into further madness.

    VGR app?

Browsers on mobile devices are alot better than they used to be and give full acess to the forum, so I personally wouldn't see the purpose of a VGR app unless it could do something else besides access and post of the forum. Still, anyone with an idea of how a VGR app would be a benefit, I think can speak for both myself and @DC when I say we'd love to hear suggestions. Any imput from somebody with experiance in the developmet of such software would be a great help.

  18. I couldn't say, as there are so many trading card games now. Back when I played there was only Pokemon and MTG. Yu-Gi-Oh! didn't even exist at the time. Some of the players now can build decks that can decimate their opponents in two turns, or even one turn. It's a brutal game. At the moment I only have one card that I'll never let go of. I won the sportsman card in a FNM tournament I played in. I'm willing to part with the rest of my cards if the price or trade is right, but I'm not letting go of that one.

    How do you communicate

Some even claimed they were apart of Al-Queda and threatened to suicide bomb your whole family. The mom jokes have always been around even before that so I'm not fazed at all.

  21. Welcome. Only two types of people on official game forums. Those who have a beef with the game and want to complain, and those who religiously love it and don't tolerate any kind of criticism. So it's always a volatile mix.

  24. When I'm all played out on the games, I tend to watch some movies, bindge some tv shows and YouTube and maybe relax. I've been reading more often as of late, so I may start reading even more. As well, I like to hang out with friends & fam. Other times I try to catch up on some work, and other times I just sit around on my phone for hours lol.
