I just have to say …
Family sedan and 2 others reacted to StaceyPowers for a topic
I am amazed consistently at how helpful our members are. I can think of multiple times I have asked questions about games and folks here have gone above and beyond with sharing their experiences or even researching answers to troubleshoot. So, I just wanted to say thanks to y’all for being so awesome 🙂3 points -

Skyrim: Why is the Dawnguard DLC so buggy?
StaceyPowers reacted to Crazycrab for a topic
If your playing on PS3 (correct me if I'm wrong) then this port of Skyrim and DLC is known to have a lot of problems. Not to mention just recently Sony shut down PSN store on PS3 and PSP which means that some games aren't getting patches. I don't know if Skyrim is one of them but it's something you need to keep in mind now.1 point -
What is the best way through the first hard room in TLOU in the office building?
StaceyPowers reacted to Shagger for a topic
If it's the room I'm thinking off, then it is indeed hellish. It is possible to stealth kill everything is you take your time. I tend to try an focus on the runners, take them out to open a path to clicker to shiv it, then then that's the worst of it over. It is possible and helpful to backtrack and head the opposite direction from your start point to access the far side of the area and pick up a few stealth kills that way as well.1 point -

Sony Hiring Staff To Bring Major PlayStation Franchises to Mobile?!
killamch89 reacted to Empire for a topic
Imagine if Sony had this, handheld console, call it "Playstation Vita" for example. Charged maybe $199.99 USD and included memory cards that were dirty cheap or even supported micro SD cards, and they supported it with major Playstation franchises. Sounds like a dream1 point -
Ridiculous workarounds you’ve come up with in games?
StaceyPowers reacted to m76 for a topic
I'm a fan of ridiculous solutions, especially in open world action games. Like approaching places from directions that were never intended, or defeating higher level enemies by ludicrous ai exploits. I don't know why is it fun, when normally I always prefer realism in games.1 point -
Ridiculous workarounds you’ve come up with in games?
StaceyPowers reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
I get drunk in RDR2 to get my stamina to level up. I'm not joking. 4 shots of Pirate Rum, and your stamina level goes up. You're shitfaced to no end, even if you have the wolf heart trinket. But in the long run, it's worth it.1 point -

The Scalpers Strike Again With Super Mario 3D All Stars
killamch89 reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
Picked it up today at Walmart. They had 6 more in the case. I could have gotten them all if I had wanted to, but I think my point is made. Had I gotten them all, I would have given them out to the few people in my life that matter. It does look like a lot of fun though. I always loved Mario 64. Never played Sunshine. Barely touched Galaxy 2. Never played the first one though.1 point -
I think even the trading cards fall into addiction but they are not gambling. A lot of point collection based games also fall into that but they are definitely not the gambling considering you do get what you want for trading those points. But it can be turned into lootbox or gamble stuff too, both online and offline.1 point

Describe your dream MMO

How much game content will you sacrifice to do what you want in the moment?
StaceyPowers reacted to m76 for a topic
On my first play through of games I always tend to miss a lot of content, because I go for full immersion. I do what makes sense in terms of the story. But if the game is good enough I'll start it again and do a more comprehensive run. When a game tries to force you to do something I always go out of my way to not do it. That's where bad game design will reveal itself. Because if the game is not prepared for the player going their own way I count that as bad design.1 point -
Environments in movies/TV that would make good FPS maps
StaceyPowers reacted to killamch89 for a topic
I'd say the chronicles of Riddick and mainly because apart from the palace with many jumpable areas, there's also large areas of open space for gunfights.1 point -
What is Sony Doing?!
Withywarlock reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
Maybe Microsoft currently has a better business model, and of course we are going to see some changes with the new XBOX Microsoft transition. For me personally, I've got Microsoft under a microscope for any and all donations of their money to politics. Because even though they have backtracked on bad political decisions, still doesn't change that Microsoft once upon a time supported republicans in claiming election fraud. I can't forgive them right now. And in this country, this is who we are now where we judge corporations on where they stand with democracy since they want to donate to politicians. And I hope this won't take away from your topic; but just my thoughts as all. Microsoft currently has changed their stance on that issue, but let it be known is what I say. Sony has more competition now, so maybe they feel the need for some make or break moves. It's hard to tell in the early stages where both XBOX and Playstation came out with new consoles.1 point -
Moments when gaming is magical
StaceyPowers reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
One of the realms in the latest God of War. Picture explains itself. And I also have to say one of the maps in AC Valhalla is completely magical. I don't have my pics copied yet, but I am taken by it. And not only that, but to be a viking in a new land with ancient ruins scattered about, reminding of a great civilization beyond imagination of the smaller viking villages. To me, it's pretty magical. Cause if you think about it, what is magical to us are things we simply don't ordinarily see or beyond our reasoning and comprehension. Someone raised in a fishing village may think NYC is magical with all the skyscrapers. And it is if you never been there.1 point -
Moments when gaming is magical
StaceyPowers reacted to m76 for a topic
First time playing Legend of Kyrandia on PC, coming from the C64 the color palette seemed amazing, and the hand painted backgrounds were so beautiful. I never actually finished the game because I did not understand the text, but the graphics was enough to be in awe. Playing Need For Speed for the first time. It was the first racing game that had convincing enough graphics to actually feel real instead of just a "dumb" game. Not playing a game, but the actual anticipation of the release of Red Alert with some of my friends. We were enthralled by the C&C franchise. When I found the secret MJ12 base under hell's kitchen in DeusEx, and it was just the tip of the iceberg. Playing Star Trek Voyager Elite force truly was magical, the whole game felt like you were starring in your own personal episode of the TV show. Max Payne 2, it was the first time a videogame made me actually care about fictional characters The highpoint of the GTA franchise to me was Vice City, just having fun and listening to flash fm or wave. Mass Effect after you leave the citadel and get command of the Normandy and realize you can go to any planet you want. It was the first time I felt true freedom in a game Getting lost in the world of Oblivion, it felt so huge and so many interesting places to explore. When I realized there is a huge underground city in Skyrim Beyond Two Souls is still the most intimate experience I had with a videogame, where I felt responsible for the main character. It's a real emotional roller coaster. Playing Train Simulator during the holiday season in 2013, I don't know why but it felt magical, I particularly remember one scenario taking the baldwin centipede through the horseshoe curve supposedly on christmas eve.1 point -

Alternative Endings, good or hell no
killamch89 reacted to Alexander. for a topic
Multiple endings as an idea are fine. However, as a gamer myself, I am very curious. If I picked one option, I always look back and think what would of happened if I choose the other and vise versa. Nonetheless, I love video games that give gamers the chance to use their initiative.1 point -
Favorite Sub-Sandwich Restaurant
killamch89 reacted to Alexander. for a topic
My favourite sub-sandwich restaurant has to be a Subway. Even though franchisees own their restaurants, I love how appealing the food is. Subway staff will make a sandwich on how the customer requests it, whether this is extra veggies, cheese or meat. From the fresh bread to an appealing salad bar, the whole experience is superb. The refillable soda machine is a massive plus for me too.1 point
