  1. Anytime we post here, @DC has our IP addresses. If he wanted to, he could use them to track us down to our physical address. It's like that on all forums. He even said so in some of the bid for rewards offers. He said he would check our IP's to make sure we had visited whatever page to get the extra points. I don't know if @Shagger can see them or not since he's a mod and not an admin. I don't know a lot about how Invision forums work as I've never owned, or been staff, on one either. But after more than 2 years here, I know by now that both of them are trustworthy with things like this. @DC also has my physical address as some of the stuff I've won in auctions was physical items that had to be shipped to me. So far no fanboys have shown up on his behalf, so it seems all good.

  3. I totally forgot he was in prison for tax evasion charges. I'm going to be honest and say that I couldn't care less because he tried to skip out on his contribution to his country and is now facing the consequences of his actions so he decides to take the easy way out.

  5. After rereading my post I see that it may have come off as an attack. That was not my intent in any way. I was trying to offer an opinion. I agree with you about Witcher 3. I couldn't get into it either. It's beautifully designed, and the graphics are top notch. But it just couldn't get its hooks into me. I am still trying to play both it and Skyrim, just to see if something that happens later in the game will grab me. After all I love FF8, but it has a woefully slow and boring start. That was one of the reasons it turned so many people off when it came out. SO I'm trying to give both games many chances. I'll admit that Skyrim has had more than Witcher 3. I think the reason behind that is probably that I see a lot more discussions here about Skyrim than I do Witcher 3. While both are amazing games, and beautiful in most ways, so far they just haven't been able to draw me in.

  6. World would be at a complete stop in this matter. Since everthing is online and worls now on how we do things it would stop. Retail stores are all online when going to pay for your $1 sweets and if it's down you can't buy, same with pwoercuts.

    What is a good life?

This is a good question because it really does depend on the person. I know some people who work low paying retail and they love it. They seem to make enough to support themselves. More power to them.

  8. The downfall of society. Businesses would fail, and major corporations would completely collapse. There would be mass anarchy worldwide. We would have to learn to live as I did when I was a kid, before the internet existed. I was 16 before the internet really took off. The major sites we see today didn't exist. Yahoo! wasn't around. Msn.com didn't exist. YouTube didn't exist. AOL didn't exist. Those came much later. It was a much more simple and different time. But now, the internet is a major necessity of life simply because of how dependent we are on it. It's second only to food, air, and water.

  9. Whether we encounter it or not is irrelevant. It's out there. Whether they encounter us is irrelevant. We're here. From within this solar system, I doubt we'll discover any other life. Half of the planets are gas giants, and the others (with the exception of Earth) are uninhabitable for life as we know it. Granted, there is life out there that requires the conditions of Venus to survive and would die instantly here on Earth. There is life out there that would have to remain deep inside of Jupiter, but die instantly here on Earth. And I'm sure there is life that lives in the vacuum of empty space. We have already seen things like this here on Earth. Look at the life that has been discovered at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Look at things like water bears. They can literally live in anything. I believe that homo sapien will be extinct 100 years from now. I believe that there is a third world war coming, and that it will be a nuclear, chemical, and biological war. To put it simply, we're going to wipe ourselves out, as well as every other species of life on this planet. So I doubt extraterrestrial life would even want to meet us, let alone spend any time here.

  10. I lived in Denver for a short time, and could see the mountains out of my apartment window. But I was also stationed in San Diego and saw the Pacific a lot as well, and have cruised around the Caribbean a lot. Throwing my fear of water aside, I think I would go with ocean. It's more calming in my opinion, and just watching and listening to the waves, while sitting in the surf is extremely soothing. Granted, being in Missouri I'm landlocked. But I still enjoy the ocean, and we have some pretty bigass lakes here as well.

  11. Ice cream definitely. Snow cones are just plain ice with a little bit of flavored water sitting at the bottom of the cup. There's no enjoyment to be had. Give me my chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and get the hell out of my way. Try to reach for it and you'll be pulling back a nub.

  13. I've found that things that I used to exaggerate about in a worst-case scenario as a kid is actually happening right in front of our eyes so I've also learned not to take anything for granted.

  14. The whole "influencer" obsession. What exactly is an influencer? Can they really influence someone so much that their life is irreversibly changed? If so then that person has one hell of a weak personality and will.

  16. Probably landscaping. Working out in 95° to 100° days (35°C-38°C) was almost unbearable. And there was no actual break. We were working mostly in the richest part of town, and they were more than entitled. They made impossible demands. One place they wanted a 2 acre yard done in one day. We didn't have the manpower to get that much done. We would have had to have a minimum of 50 men working there and going beyond busting their ass to get it done. That would have been from dawn to past dusk even with that many men. I finally had to quit when I got into a bunch of poison ivy. I was covered with it from elbow to fingertip. It was so bad that I had to go to the hospital. They put me on steroids to get rid of it. I also used my family secret to cure it as well. But that was the hardest I've ever worked at a paying job. For a nonpaying job, it would have been at home working with our stock.
