I thought about this, and if the community wants it, I would create Sticky threads in the Video Game Deals sub-form with the purpose of keeping people up to date on what the latest games on offer through PS+, GWG and other such services are. It would be laborious and I'd think most people get that information in good time anyway, but if the community thinks this would be helpful, I'm all for helping out. It would also be a place to discuss what games you want to see, discuss rumours and post your thoughts on the games these services are currently offering. So tell me what you think. Do you think this is a useful idea or not and what services you want to see included if we go ahead with the idea.1 point

Thanks @DC. I'll begin right away.1 point

This is a good idea. Go for it @Shagger; thank you.1 point

I think it's a great idea. It would give a place for everything you mentioned that wouldn't get bumped back by new threads, and lost in the forum. We all hear rumors, and don't know if they fact or not. Also PS+ is something I've been looking into and need advice on (among other things) about it and other services. So I say do it.1 point

What is a relationship deal breaker for you?
Reality vs Adventure reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
This doesn't apply to alcoholics (sorry @Reality vs Adventure) but you can also get completely shitfaced together and ask each other the important questions, like "Are you a cheater?" and record it. Then the next day watch the recording together and go back over it and each question and answer. That will bring pretty much everything to light whether you want it to or not.1 point -
Do you prefer happy or sad endings?
Family sedan reacted to m76 for a topic
It seems to me that most games have at best a bitter or ambiguous ending. What do you prefer? I much prefer happy ends, I don't like tragic ends to stories. I'm not for foreshadowing either. When a game ends every plot point should be tied up nicely with no open ends and unfinished businesses remaining. If the game was great, people will want a sequel anyway, you don't need to leave breadcrumbs for that.1 point -
Different Platforms, Controls and UI's. Discuss Pro's and Con's.

Most games give you an option to re-bind the keyboard to other commands that aren't the default. Even if a game doesn't allow it, there's always third party software and programmable keyboards and mice that will do the same thing. I use a programmable mouse as I like to transfer as much control away from the keyboard as possible. In my perfect world, I'd only use the keyboard to access to access and navigate menus, WASD keys to move, number keys for hotkey shortcuts for items and weapons and that's it. It's not perfect, though. Programmable peripherals take time to get set up right. I was only satisfied with how I had set up the M/K controls for Horizon Zero Dawn on PC after about 2-3 hours of fiddling with it. For me though, the whole issue of preference when it comes to control is mostly down to the game. I would hate trying to play a RTS game with a controller, and would equally hate a very stealth focused 3rd person game like Metal Gear Solid or Assassin's Creed using M/K as a keyboard just doesn't allow for the same control over speed of movement. It's useally a toggle choice between fast as a thief at market or slow as an ass with no legs. Even in games like Skyrim I find it annoying.1 point -

Do you miss items even when you search rooms thoroughly?
Family sedan reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
Man, how does it happen? My eyes are rolling around and head spinning looking for something; just gimme something. Flopping around here and there; Where's my gold. Gimme my gems. They are mine. I want them red rubies, green emeralds, clear diamonds, sunny gold. Gimme that straight up cold silver and drench me in it. Metals minerals. Let my hands feel it. That is my destiny. I don't care what you think. It's all mine. The map says the treasure was here. I see something shiny. There has to be something under that tree. In the cave? On the highest mountain? That is the closest I can get to God. Billions of years to produce fine specimens. I want it all. I will kill for it all. Morph me into a dragon so I can bathe in these Earth treasures. Please. I won't kill. I'll just slumber and feel it's energy within me. It's all I need.1 point -
Would you rather have a mullet for a year or be bald (no wigs!) for six months?

Well, it's simply because it sucks big time to have a game that's offers only Multiplayer playing feature.1 point -

Exclusive to the epic game store, or consoles. The first one is out of principle. The second one is because I might have a ps, but I hate playing games on console due to the controller. So except for a very few select games I don't buy games for playstation. Multiplayer only games Games that have no proper single player campaign can F right off. The inclusion of current day political debates in the game No real world politics should ever be a central theme in a game, unless it is historical with no ambiguity around them. Games by Developers / creators who have a history of degrading / looking down on the gaming community Examples: Patrick Soderlund, Adrian Chimleraz, Cliff Blezinsky...1 point -

If it's made by EA, Activision or any other company in this category of money sucking companies, is a deal breaker most times just because no matter how crappy the game is, they always charge full price for them.1 point -

Online only. That is the number one deal breaker for me. Strictly first person only would be in second place, depending on the game. For example I love Hexen, and it's a first person game. For those unfamiliar with it, make Doom a medieval game and you have Hexen. But for games like RDR2 and Skyrim, if they were first person only, I never would have gotten into RDR2, and would have never given Skyrim so many (failed) chances to draw me in. The biggest thing that turned me off from Skyrim is the controls. no matter how I change them they are just clunky and unusable for me.1 point -

Do you prefer happy or sad endings?

I just prefer genuine endings, as long as the ending feels natural with the flow I don't mind. Forceful sad and forceful happy is often easy to notice as well.1 point
