Give up gaming for cash . . .
Withywarlock reacted to Joshua Farrell for a topic
Lets say you were given the offer of a life time of a million in cash, but the only way you had to get it, was to give up gaming. WOuld you be up to the challenge of giving up playing your various games, if given the opportunity to advance your life by having that much money? It would be pretty hard for me to decide. I know if I were in a hard place, I would take the cash and be willing to give up gaming, but it would be a pretty difficult thing to do.1 point -
Yes, we all had those games, where 2 minutes into the game and you already know it is a lost cause, because your teammates just can’t help but rage like a 3-year-old baby. Gaming is supposed to be fun; it is really a waste of time to be arguing with these idiots. Yet you need to since you want to stop your support from walk down the mid lane to feed 20 times. This is where Epal.gg comes in. Every single person on Epal.gg is ready to game and hangout, and mostly importantly, they aren’t toxic! They will work with you in-game, they can pick whatever character you want them to pick, they will back you up in-game, and they can even verbally defend you when there is toxic waste in your game. So yeah, it is very useful if you want a complete experience without any negativity. Give it a try at www.epal.gg1 point

I am running a video ad on VGR Forum for the next 2-3 days. I know it's a bit annoying but it helps pay the bill and it is at least video gaming related. Thanks for understanding and thanks for helping make VGR the best gaming community on the net! 🙂1 point

Will Be Gone
AndreiMirfi reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
I don't know if it matters, or if anyone cares, but starting this Friday (10-8-21) I will be gone for several days. We're flying out to Indiana to buy my dream car, and then driving back. We'll be stopping at hotels on the way, So we may not be back until Monday (10-11-21). Hopefully we'll be back sooner, But there's always the chance that we won't be back before the work week starts. We're not going to push ourselves, because I'm not taking the chance of hurting my car. If I get drowsy, we're stopping. And with this car, no one drives it but me. It's my baby, and I'm taking care of it as if it were a human child. I don't know if I've posted a pic of it yet, but either way here she is. 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc-Z T-top1 point -
What can make an MMO stagnant?
Withywarlock reacted to StaceyPowers for a topic
What are some factors that can lead to stagnancy in an MMO? I would list, for instance, a game where factions are too segmented off from one another and their core beliefs/motivations are not allowed to transform.1 point -

Gaming have grown immensely, we now have more of the gamers talking vividly around video games at the moment. And video game platforms are just popping up where we simply sign up to, and have plenty available features to make ourselves happy with fellow gamers. Epal is simply one of those platforms suitable for gaming and other form of entertainment.1 point -

I've witnessed the ad pop up, at the moment I have no problem with the ad provided it's of utmost important to the admin. I visit many sites everyday simply surfing for information, I don't mind if the site runs 100s of ads on the site provided the information I want is there.1 point -
How did you end up playing the main platform that you do?
killamch89 reacted to Oblivion Knight for a topic
I went from Sega to PlayStation, to Xbox, and back to PlayStation. I loved the Xbox 360, but the early iterations of the console were nightmarishly unreliable. I must have got struck with RROD on no less than x4 occasions, as well as a faulty DVD drive. Then when my slim console got banned from Xbox LIVE for taking advantage of a marketplace region 'exploit' for a handful of free games, I decided that I'd had enough and decided to move back across to the PlayStation. I haven't looked back since.1 point -
Are you concerned with logic in mods?
Withywarlock reacted to Heatman for a topic
Seriously, I have a feeling that most games tutorials tend to be very boring irrespective of the game in question. If it can be avoided by most gamers, they would.1 point -
Must it be on PC? In my opinion, it's going to be challenging playing on PC while at work as it might have you exposed for querry. It's better to play on your smartphone.1 point

This is sweet chin music to my ears! I knew that both of these companies are greedy as hell but I must admit I never thought it would come to this! I should have though, it was only a matter of time before the unfettered greed of both these monopolistic conglomerates locked horns against each other. I guess FIFA figured they weren't charging enough money given the billions of dollars that Ultimate Team makes across Madden and FIFA. Now that government's across the world are on the verge of shutting down their money printing gambling mechanics it's not exactly surprising that EA aren't so keen to pay the bill. This is pretty stupid on the part of FIFA because no other publisher is going to pay that kind of money if they can't get a return using the same bullshit monetisation. I harbor no sympathies though. If this means that FIFA, or at least the current exploitative EA Sports FIFA disappears I'm so fucking in! Fuck FIFA and fuck EA!1 point

Money is the only good language that I understand perfectly. So, if I'm to do a crunch time on a game, it wouldn't be a bad thing if I'm offered $1000 😇.1 point

Rockstar is not yet done with making thousands of dollars from GTA 5. So, as for GTA 6, it's never coming out anytime sooner until the company says otherwise.1 point

In most cases, I do not really attach much sentiment to the names of my characters. I simply name them anything that pops up in my head at the moment. It's not a big deal.1 point

PlayStation 5
Head_Hunter reacted to Shagger for a topic
It was yourself who awakened the thread back in August after 10 months of it gathering dust in the first place. So with all due respect, even though @Head_Hunter posted on the thread more recently, you're the last person with a right to decide whether or not the thread has lost it's relevancy. If people want to discuss the PS5 on the PlayStation sub-forum on this thread, I take no issue with that. And, once again, a reminder to both yourself and everyone that if you see something on the forum you feel needs either myself or @DC's attention, report it using the report function, don't post the request on the public forum.1 point -

kingpotato reacted to AsPe for a topic
Well damn...I finished watching it and I'm somewhat disappointed. The first few episodes were AMAZING. But the twist at the end was underwhelming and many things were predictable. The entire concept of the show was fantastic and unique to me, so I guess that's why I expected something bigger at the end.1 point -
I have experienced a lot of toxic teammates in games like mobile legends, PUBG and many other multiplayer online games. A lot of those can't be muted and also system don't recognize their patterns in the game chat as of now. This looks like a good idea as it can help focus more on the game than the teammates.1 point

One of the developments that's been a serious issue in the gaming industry is having to deal with a toxic community which we have had so much for so long now. Take a look at how toxic Fortnite community is which most people tend to walk away from as it's not a healthy community in terms of having your peace of mind. So, with all that being said, this community Epal ; if it offers what they quote to offer, it's definitely going to run over with lots of gamers looking for where they would have peace of mind and feel at home. Ps. Epal coming with an app of their own, is one sure way to making it very easy and user friendly to access the site/community.1 point

Played a bit of F1 2020 on the Series X earlier today. The Xbox Game Pass really is an amazing thing because it lets us try out games we normally wouldn't try. Well worth the money, in my opinion.1 point -
Do you get bored of doing the same things over and over in games?
Withywarlock reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
Wouldn't bore me as long as I have places left to explore. But once I've seen it all, I would need a story or objective to keep me in. So I just take my time in open worlds. I try not to get too leveled up beyond the main story and just enjoy it. 1st person shooters and military games gets repetitive for me. It needs a variety of cool environments, or hasta la vista.1 point -

Not always. There's some of us who truly don't give a shit about our own health. Or anyone else's for that matter. No one is getting out of this world alive. All we're doing is postponing the inevitable. For what reason, depends on the individual.1 point -

Depends on the amount minimum. 10,00,000 USD and I am out of gaming. The reason being I think I lost enough health and gained stress with digital lifestyle as it is. I'd retire with that amount.1 point

One million dollars and I had to rely on that for the rest of my life? To those on the bottom, a million sounds great. But in all truth, that's not exactly a lot of money these days. It wouldn't last very long. So I would say no to it, and keep my games.1 point
