Like you said, it's not an affiliate link, so no worries. I'm sadly not shocked to see these issues with the game, just EA being EA. The only thing in FIFA that's certain to work out of the box in are the in-app purchases. Still, it's cool to see the community coming together to help each other like PST.org have.

I wish the best for VGR forum, but having such a large user base might be good for ad revenue and clockthrough rate, but definitely isn't conducive to a healthy community. It is impossible to have a conversation when a topic gets a 100 new posts every minute.

If I'm being very honest, I really hate ads most of the time because it tend to interrupt what I'm doing but I'm going to have an exception for VGR because the owner poured out his heart with asking us nicely. Mine is off as we speak.

I have had that experience on more than one occasion which made it very hard for me to purchase from Amazon. It's only on rare occasion when I couldn't get what I'm looking for on other shopping store that I take my neck to Amazon to cut it off.

I've seen the same products on Amazon sold for less elsewhere. They're not necessarily gaming related, but the fact is I have. Tools, for example. I also saw better deals on gaming laptops while I was shopping for one, hence why I didn't buy mine from Amazon.

Even kids these days do not say no to money. I have seen some videos on social media where pets seem to know what money is and hold on to it hard.

I'm getting back to playing my Bioshock 2 today hopefully once I complete playing Bioshock Infinite. I have stayed away from playing B2 for a while now, I need to explore it once more.

I watch a lot of gaming content on Youtube (reviews, critiques, game design talks), so sometimes I'll watch videos on a game I have on my backlog. This'll help me get a better idea of what to expect, maybe clue me into the historical or industry significance of the game, and generally hype me up for the experience, since watching gameplay naturally makes me want to try it out for myself.

I often lack motivation to play games from my backlog. Whenever I start playing something it is entirely on a whim, no thought goes into it, just that at that moment I found some motivation to start a certain game. It could be for a number of reasons, like a new mod was released that makes the game more appealing, or simply someone mentioned the game somewhere, or most of the time for no reason at all.

I've finished both Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II, and unusually the sequel was far superior to the original. I did start playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood quite recently, but got a bit bored with it and haven't picked it up for a while. I should probably try to before I forget the progress I've made and feel compelled to start again.. 😅 It happens quite frequently, hence my backlog. Metal Gear Solid is my favourite, personally.

I do use ad block to access most of the internet while on my computer, but not my phone. I try to remember to turn it off for VGR, but it's inevitable that I forget at least some of the time. The recent video has odd helped me remember to turn it off because if I refresh VGR and it doesn't play realise that I've turned it off. Still, I'll do my best @DC.

Resetera was formed by former neogaf moderators, so I assume they took their values with them. I don't know what neogaf is like right now, my experience with it is from 2014. So let's just say resetera is 2014 neogaf on steroids. In 2014 neogaf was definitely pro censorship and cancel culture. The topic didn't matter you either towed the official consensus or got cancelled. Like I was. And it wasn't about politics either. as political influences in game development wasn't a common topic back then. It was merely that I was skeptical about a game everyone was hyped up about. It didn't matter that I was proven right when the game came out, I already had my fill with that 'community' at that point. As I've seen on resetera taking even centrist or moderate left positions gets people banned or at least suspended.

They've already issued an apology and removed the game. The updated video I posted previously covers that.

This has been going on for years and those are the people I purposely target in-game just so that they'll rage quit and leave with their toxicity.

I do turn it off for VGR but most other sites are intrusive with their ads so it stays on for most of the others.

Same here - I don't like having to babysit my follower. I mean if I wanted to become to baby sit in-game, I'd just become an in-game nanny...

It's one hell of the a fight session from Ezio in Assassin's Creed Revelations. That's some of his fight scenes in the game that are very captivating.

That's quite a journey for you moving all over to still end up back on Playstation. Xbox is good but it's not what I'd get into, it's only PC I can upgrade from PS to.

Just as much an easy gain as it is a loss. But if you can gamble your wife away, then by all means do it.

Racing games, some MOBAs are really quick, possibly an RPG or something with a window you can pause it on.

Games without commitment. That you can quit at any time without loosing any progress. Best if there is no progression in the game at all. When I had limited time that I needed to waste my goto game was rigs of rods, nowadays I just watch a youtube video roughly the length of time I need to waste.

I purchase from the PS Store all the time. Here in the UK the sale prices can be pretty damn good and are occasionally better than buying from brick and mortar shops.
