It's actually been a very long while since I played The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt and I think if it's something that I should get into because it's one of the best open world games that have ever played.

  3. VGR Forum has just achieved an incredible milestone. We now have more than 100,000 posts! It seems like just yesterday we hit 10,000 posts. Our community truly has grown by leaps and bounds. I want to personally thank each of you for your contributions to our conversations here on the forum. You are what has made VGR the welcoming, thriving community it is today. I can’t wait to see how our forum will continue to grow and flourish over the years ahead. If I could, I would thank every single member individually here. As it is, I know that I cannot possibly get around to everyone. But I want to at least highlight the contributions of some of our core members: @Shagger: You have done a wonderful job as our first moderator on VGR keeping everything running smoothly and creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Minor Forum Changes

I am looking for feedback on recent forum changes. I moved the "Platforms" section higher-up on the forum and lowered Video Game Deals and Esports & Competitive Gaming. This decision came quite easy because the Platforms section is more active and thus should be prioritized. I added a Virtual Reality sub-section under Platforms for all VR talk. I added a Technology & Gadgets sub-section to General Chat. I am considering reworking some of the forums under the "VGR Community" as well but I first want to know how the above changes are perceived by the community.

Yeah, definitely is. But as you mentioned at night, in daytime I prefer lightly themed forums. There is no obligation and it wouldn’t really be a great improvement towards the forum and its community, just a small preference of mine. 🙂

    Minor Forum Changes

I know this theme is kind of VGR’s identity, but is there anything planned in the future for a light or something ‘new’ and different?

It's not a massive difference, but it's neatened things up a little.

  10. Racing games are constantly evolving, so you can't have one favorite. A new game comes around from time to time to dethrone the others. So here are my favorite racing games over the times: Test Drive 3 1990 Stunts 1991 The Need for Speed 1995 Motorhead 1998 Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed 2000 Gran Turismo 4 2004 Test Drive Unlimited 2006 Gran Turismo 5 2010 NFS Shift 2 2011 Project Cars 2 2017 Honourable mentions: Car & Driver 1992 Fatal Racing 1995 Destruction Derby 1995 Need For Speed 2 SE 1997 Gran Turismo 1998 Gran Turismo 2 1999 1nsane 2000 Street Legal Racing 2003 Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 2010 Gran Turismo 6 2013 I was a racing game fanatic, well I still would be, if there was any racing game worthy of the name. I also love racing simulations that I excluded from this list.

    How many controllers?

I currently have 2 PS4 controllers, and 2 PS move controllers. Mostly when someone comes over or to use as a backup if mine dies when using it.

  13. Fun fact: Gaetz is looking at federal charges of transporting minor girls illegally across state lines.Just a POS of a human. I watched most of the trial. One of the guys he killed and the one he wounded did have guns pointed at him. The other he killed hit him on the head with a skateboard but he started the whole damn thing. Also he chose the jurors from pulling them out of a tumbler so he didn't literally choose the jury. And that judge. Just an idiot. I've been watching trials for decades and I don't think I've seen a judge hate a certain side ever like this. I just saw that rittenhouse is gonna be on Faux news because of course he's their new hero.F*****g depressing.

  14. I'd live in the world of Harry Potter then dedicate my time to perfecting my "make money" spell until I'm a millionaire. Don't look at me and think "You can't have your cake and eat it." That's a stupid expression anyway, why else would I want my cake if I wasn't gonna eat it?

  15. I actually believe that there is no fun in doing that when you don't really have the desire to play a game rather than keep on skipping it whenever you get to a path that seems to be difficult.
    1 point
  16. i've seen this implemented in some games, can't remember which ones, but it made me feel really stupid, and I felt the game is being condescending to me. I think a game should never offer you to skip a challenge, instead just give you hints if you fail many times. But even hints can get annoying when they are repeated too often, so the best thing is if they can be asked on demand, instead of being offered automatically. Most games that have them do it too aggressively and too soon. For example in Tomb Raider you explore a bit and Lara already starts mouthing off on what you should do. But the worst offender is this regard is Force Unleashed 2, where the hints are not just too many and too soon, but outright wrong. in one bossfight the radio keeps screeching at you if you use force lighting, that it's poinless because you can't hurt it. Even when you are using force lighting to charge the batteries necessary to kill the boss.

  17. Congratulations VGR, without the 25 plus active members here, the site wouldn't get to where it's sitting. What males a good website it's members 🙂 Always it's members and the great community 😉 I did not even know myself that I been here for jthree years now Xd. At times I do not check the year date when I join. Time to move on to the next goal I say - 500K posts 😛

  18. LJN is a video game company like Konami or Capcom. People often think of them as the worst game company ever, having made the worst games ever. AVGN did a hilarious video about them. He also mentions them in a huge number of his videos as the Unholy Grail of Shit video games. But i personally like a lot of their titles.

  19. This is a very good opportunity for the members to have more like a side quest gain from participating in the community. You are an awesome person @DC. I'm not that much prolific in creating content, so I'm going to pass on this one but good luck to all who are going head to head to win it. I'd expect some giveaway from the winner to us 😉. Congratulations to the winners in advance.

    How Big Is Your Backlog?

For the fact that it's Christmas and you have a lot of home time to spend with friends and family, most gamers do play up a lot of games at this period.

    How Big Is Your Backlog?

I know you'll be adding more of the video games as December draws ever closer. Since we'll be around with our families, friends, love ones and well wishers we can have fun too playing games.

  23. If it's something that you truly don't have the ability to complete, and finish, then I think there should be a way to skip it. But it should be after a minimum number of tries, then at the gamers discretion. Lets say there's a particular gunfight in RDR2, that's part of the story line. You can't advance the game until you escape that fight alive. But no matter how many times you try, you simply can't do it. You take cover, you use health tonics, you have enough ammo for the weapons you're carrying. But you just can't beat that one part. Then there should be an option to skip it. This is the reason I quit playing Guitar Hero. I think it was GH3. There was a point that you had to battle an AI guitar opponent. It was the only way to advance. Well I got mine used, and even though it had the manual, nothing told me how you were supposed to beat this one. This one was different from the previous ones which were slouches. I tried a million times, and could never beat it. So I simply said "fuck this", put the controller down, and never played it again. But then again, I wasn't the biggest fan of either the Wii or the game franchise either. Not to mention that the damn guitar is right handed.

  24. The truth is that most people don't really take the time to read all those terms and conditions that is associated with any application or platform before they agree to it which is why when something like this comes up they wouldn't really have any case because you already agreed to the terms and condition.
