Up the nose or "down the wrong pipe"?
killamch89 and one other reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
When you take a drink of something which is more annoying to you? When it "goes down the wrong pipe" or when it goes up your nose? For me, it's when it goes up my nose. Especially if it's carbonated. Because then I have to pinch my nose shut until I find something to blow my nose on. Which is part of the reason I always keep a roll of toilet paper nearby. So which do you hate more?2 points -
How safe is VR?
DC reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
It's my understanding that VR has to be played through a headset that would cover your eyes. It's also my understanding that a lot of it would require you to move around. After all the reports of people getting hurt when they were playing Pokemon Go, I just wonder whether VR would even be safe unless a person sets aside a room in their house to leave empty for them to play VR games. Now I know little to nothing about VR, so those more educated on the subject, please educate me. My ignorance is my issue here.1 point -
What does your Username mean?
DC reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
How did everyone get their username? I got mine because it's a nickname I have had since I was a kid. People knew me as The Blackangel. I don't remember how exactly I got it, but it stuck. I always liked it, so I used it as both an alias and username/screen name. I considered using Legion at one point, but The Blackangel was more meaningful to me. And honestly, I felt that it was also a better fit as well. BTW, to staff, I did a search and couldn't find any posts like this. I'm sure that at some point something was made, but I couldn't find it.1 point -

I could never use a wired controller again. It's just so much more convenient to use a wireless controller especially as I'm not exactly close to my consoles so I would require a very long wire. The only tired it's ever "wired" is when I'm charging the controller whilst I'm playing1 point

How did you end up playing the main platform that you do?
Boblee reacted to killamch89 for a topic
I made the switch from consoles to PC in 2011 and I haven't looked back ever since and I agree that the PC's use extends outside of gaming.1 point -
I'm fine with wired or wireless controllers, since I'm a retro gamer, so I can take either wired or wireless and not feel odd about it.1 point

What's the longest time you have played a game without stopping?
DeadGhost77 reacted to PGen98 for a topic
I used to stay up all night when I was a teenager, so I'd be gaming from about 7PM until about 7AM, no stopping. It was so much fun back then :)1 point -

I've played about 8 hours before non-stop. That occured during the first wave of covid19 when I was living like a prisoner.1 point -
You're right. Sometimes some of the customers are stark illiterates, they simply can't read and write, she they aren't bothered taking someone who can read and write to assist in reading the contents to know what's all about. Such, makes them to fall victim of losing their funds, because of blind purchase.1 point

What is your favorite racing game?
Family sedan reacted to m76 for a topic
Racing games are constantly evolving, so you can't have one favorite. A new game comes around from time to time to dethrone the others. So here are my favorite racing games over the times: Test Drive 3 1990 Stunts 1991 The Need for Speed 1995 Motorhead 1998 Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed 2000 Gran Turismo 4 2004 Test Drive Unlimited 2006 Gran Turismo 5 2010 NFS Shift 2 2011 Project Cars 2 2017 Honourable mentions: Car & Driver 1992 Fatal Racing 1995 Destruction Derby 1995 Need For Speed 2 SE 1997 Gran Turismo 1998 Gran Turismo 2 1999 1nsane 2000 Street Legal Racing 2003 Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 2010 Gran Turismo 6 2013 I was a racing game fanatic, well I still would be, if there was any racing game worthy of the name. I also love racing simulations that I excluded from this list.1 point -

I'm watching WWE Survivor Series right now. With that in mind I think it's a choice between two. So @DC, are you The Head of the Table: Or are you The Man:1 point -

What is your favorite racing game?
Family sedan reacted to Shagger for a topic
My favourite has been the Burnout franchise (minus Burnout Paradise), especially Burnout 3. The series has sadly been dead for quite some time. I haven't really been that into racing games since, but I did enjoy what I've played of the Forza: Horizon games.1 point -
You saw that jump and spin with the way Mario grabbed his wheels when doing that, it's incredible. I really enjoyed doing that in the race 🏎.1 point

Recommended build for Desktop gaming
kingpotato reacted to Joshua Farrell for a topic
Do you have any recommendations for gaming PC's? I am considering getting a seperate build for gaming on my computer, as the desktop computer I have at, works on laptop parts and doesn't have the standard expansion slots that normally come inside the tower (it is one of those Slim Towers. Can only upgrade it so much, without replacing the power supply.).1 point -
Recommended build for Desktop gaming
kingpotato reacted to Shagger for a topic
There are many things to consider with a new PC build. As @MeowsePad said, budget is the big one, but that's not all. There are many of us who could compile a list of recommended parts together with the right info; Do you have a monitor or monitors already? Or do you plan to use it on a TV? What are specks of the display you plan to use? (This is important to consider for both budgeting and because there's little point is creating a monster build if the displays you use can't even show it at its best. A PC performance and Display specks have to marry up close together) Do you have a place have to put the computer? If this location near your internet router (If your desired location is close to a router, you won't need a motherboard with Wi-Fi connectivity and that could save money. It's also worth thinking about because you may need to work a desk and chair into your budget as well.) Aesthetics. It would be useful you know what colour schemes you want. Would you prefer a case design that's more subtle or makes more of a statement? Do you consider cooling of limiting noise more of a priority? It's also important to consider what you need outside the tower and software. Mouse and Keyboard (As essential as any component inside the computer. If you don't have any to spare, you'll have to work these into the budget), controllers, speakers, headsets, controllers, operating system (Again, essential), any premium software you want, speakers case accessories and so on. Most of these things aren't essential of course, but it's still a good idea to think abut them for budget reasons. After getting as much of this info as possible, it should be straight forward to compile a recommended parts list.1 point -
Could games make one an introvert?
Justin11 reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
Am I that transparent? your "god" is nothing more than a figment of your imagination. Your religion is nothing more than organized crime. I would never lower myself to that status. I would never worship your "god". I'm not gullible, delusional, or stupid. Also my imaginary friend state ended when I was 4. And any church that would excommunicate a 3 year old isn't worthy of the child. And again, when did I say I have siblings? Point me to that comment. If you can't then STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY GOD DAMN MOUTH YOU FUCKING MORON0 points
