  2. Let's change the location. Let's change the judge and replace with Rittenhouse's judge. Would the outcome have been different? This verdict was only days after Rittenhouse was found not guilty of being a vigilante praying on protestors. But in this case, 3 white men tried to place a citizen's arrest on an unarmed black man while jogging, and ended up shooting him dead. I want to point out a very disturbing thing an attorney said to jurors that is a sort of dog whistle of racist rhetoric that has similarities to runaway slaves. There was a photo of Arbery's autopsy that showed his feet and this was said of his toenails to the jury: "Turning Ahmaud Arbery into a victim after the choices that he made does not reflect the reality of what brought Ahmaud Arbery to Satilla Shores in his khaki shorts with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails," attorney Laura Hogue told the jurors. 'His long, dirty toenails?' That is a clear reference to a runaway slave, or portraying him as a beast, unkempt hygiene, less than human. That is just a really sick thing to say to the jury. But it is something that has been a common trend in how black people are treated differently as a victim. So we should familiarize ourselves with this kind of language and understand its intent. This was another high profile case that could have easily set those men free after their murder if they had a different judge or all white jury. And in this case all were white except for one black on the jury. So it was a very close call. But this system of vigilantism and citizen's arrest tend to favor those with oppressive and racist intentions further leading to oppression and racism in a country that has an ugly history. Here is a good article about that case and more of what I'm talking about. https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/25/us/ahmaud-arbery-racist-rhetoric-trial-takeaways/index.html

  4. What have the sales been like for recent COD releases? I feel like in the last 5-10 years, the sales have been dropping off with each new release. Honestly forgot Vanguard came out recently as I literally lost interest in it. I played a bit of Cold War, but haven't bothered much since. My brother and nephew play from time to time now days, but I just can't be bothered with the series anymore. Then again, most of my friends are living their lives so I don't know many others who even play COD anymore. I know COD is probably hated by most here, and rightfully so, it deserves the hate it often gets. But I still find some joy in the games when I play them, but it's much of the same. I've considered going back to some of the older games recently and just playing those again. But I would have to get my friends from back in the day back on, and that's easier said than done. Anyway, what do you guys think? Is COD running out of steam? Or will it forever appeal to the 12 year olds out there who keep this franchise alive to this day?

  5. Yep, in this day and age of pandemics, crunch and shortages of labour/materials, french based studio Sloclap have done the seemingly impossible and have announced that they are releasing their self published title Sifu early! https://comicbook.com/gaming/amp/news/ps4-ps5-playstation-sifu-release-exclusive-game/ The title is now coming out on PS4, PS5 and Windows PC two weeks ahead of its announced 22nd of February date on February 8th. In this world where games like Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Forbidden West getting months or even years long delays has become the norm. Not to mention crowdfunded projects like Star Citizen releasing nothing but roadmaps... to roadmaps I genuinely never thought I would never see this happen again in my life. Are pinching yourself to make sure still awake? What are your thoughts?

  6. The chairs look like quite cool especially the Ant Man edition. The chair and desk combo deal is amazing as well. A massive reduction in price so I'll definitely be checking that out. Really badly need a proper office chair at the moment.

I work for a big engineering firm that, among other things, operates as a contractor in service to the Royal Navy of the UK, more specifically in shipbuilding and ship repair.

No. Quite frankly my job couldn't be further from the video games industry and I'm actually thankful for that. It keeps gaming very much where I want it in my life, as a hobby.

  12. I already own a AndaSeat Captain America chair but these Black Friday sales are too good to miss out on. I am buying an Iron Man seat today for my younger brother.

  14. It has also come to light that Georgia District Attorney Jackie Johnson has been arrested and is charged with violation of oath of a public officer and hindering a law enforcement officer relating to this case that delayed justice of Arbery's murder and she is facing prison as well. These are all obstacles people of color have to face in a country that is in hard lined denial of systemic racism; citizen's arrest of a black man jogging in a white neighborhood; murdered if they didn't comply; District attorney trying to hinder justice; lawyers demonizing the victim to the jury; Kevin Gough defense attorney tried to get the judge to not allow any black pastors in the court room and complained that 'Bubba' and 'Joe Six Pack' are underrepresented in the pool of jurors, meaning there weren't enough of the southern white men type, or the red neck type to be the jury. These are the types of things that needs to be cleaned out of our justice systems. I say there needs to be mandatory diversity in all jury for all cases. When do you ever hear an all black jury and a white man as defendant? Umm never. This case would have set three killers free in a different court room in a different town. At least there is three less thugs off the street and possibly four if Johnson is found guilty.

  15. I have always been a Captain America's fan ever since I started watching Marvel movies and their games too. My display picture says a lot about it already. I'm definitely sharing this link on my social media handles to see if buyers are going to come in. The chairs look marvelously good.

  18. That's life, at some point we wouldn't stay together all the time with our siblings even with our children especially when maturity comes in. Because they'll go seek for their own career, to earn money and start up their own family. Its tremendous that during early time, you enjoyed playing video games with your beloved siblings.

  19. Racism have proven to be elusive, and it's becoming a burden in the current system of things. It was rarely seen publicly but this days is becoming more and more popular, going from public to viral, killings coming from racism is becoming unbearable too. What caused it? Simply different 'races, that differs in skin colour, appearance scene and otherwise.

  22. I bought @Rain Dew this exact kind of chair a few years ago, and she loves it. It's not any theme or anything, it's just blue and black colored. But the design of the chair is identical. So I can confirm that they're really comfortable. The two pillows on it can be annoying as hell, depending on how you angle the chair to use it. But otherwise we have no issues whatsoever with it.

  23. You’re absolutely right. Games back then were immensely more challenging. We didn’t have guides, or online walkthroughs, or even the internet to look for help from other gamers. The only way to get any tips was word of mouth. Mainly I’m talking about the NES. But even the next couple generations were almost as bad. Nowadays every game has in depth guides, and online walkthroughs written by scores of people. In all honesty, the closest thing we had back then was a Game Genie.

  24. I can understand that, the NPC quests can be a bit silly at times! I don't want to do hand-holding quests or tracking down toys, either. Idiotic. I believe those that "become" introverts are actually ambiverts already, they have introverted tendencies and extrovert tendencies, and when they find an introverted activity that captivates them, the introvert tendencies kick in.

  26. I had a guild member in a MMORPG who was stone cold drunk most of the time we were online playing and kept having to stop to go puke. Although, I'm not sure he even knew where the bathroom was.🤣

  27. Lots of "normies" criticise gamers for "wasting valuable time on a hobby that does not contribute to a personal development/self improving". This might be true, especially with MMORPG (IMHO), but what they do not realise is that they also waste their valuable time on useless stuff. In my opinion, watching sports is the most useless activity which leads to zero personal development. Yet, millions watch football. Why? Because it's fun and they like it. Well, guess what, uncle Jim, I enjoy games and games are not inferior to watching 22 men in shorts chasing a ball.
