  1. I've closed this contest due to the parameters being a bit difficult (my fault) but I did award the contest leader @Reality vs Adventure a free copy of COD Vanguard for PS. Please stay tuned for future contests. 🙂

  2. If there was ever a chance to go back in time and revisit an old generation of gaming, what generation would you go back to? This is a tough one for me, because I think I'd like to go back to the generation where the NES came out. I was born in 89, but I would have loved to see how gaming took off when the NES was released. These days, the impact games have aren't as big as they used to be, at least for us who already experiences games growing up. But, I miss that feeling of finding something new and unique. You can't really get that these days. Discuss what generation you'd go back to if you could. 🙂

  3. Hi! I’m writing this as a member of Brytenwalda Studios. We are a small studio headquartered in Spain that develops independent video games. We started as fans doing mods for Total War, and later we developed the Viking Conquest DLC for Mount & Blade that many of you might have heard of. With this post we’re trying to find players that may be interested in our latest game, Beyond Mankind, which we launched a few months ago. We have developed it and published it on our own, and we have just released a very important patch that improves the game in almost every aspect. We are very excited to share with everyone this new version of the game and to find players that want to try it and give us their opinion. To put you in context, Beyond Mankind is an action RPG in the fashion of games from the last decades such as Fallout or Mass Effect, but from the perspective of an indie game. What’s more, we’ve also included some survival and exploration mechanics and a unique character creation system. It is very focused on the narrative, and pitches the player in front of existential dilemmas, the same ones actually faced by humanity itself. It’s set in the year 2121, a time in which the Earth is in the hands of a new and modified human race. The character you create, with memories from a dead world implanted, will be part of H.O.P.E., an elite military unit at the vanguard of a war to recover Earth. Here's the trailer. We’re here to answer any questions you might have. If there's any problem with the post or we should post this in another section, plese let us know. Thank you everyone for your attention!

  5. Escape from Tarkov is a good one that I fancy playing as well. It's combat system is very explosive.

  6. They have simply run out of ideas on what to do and it's very obvious with what they have been making for years now with stack distinction.

  7. It's actually why I didn't get to play the Resident Evil 8 that much because I felt it never offered something valuable that's worth the time.

  8. For a kid born in the 80's, going back to this time in their gaming history would really mean a whole lot. Video games then had more value and originality than what we play today.

  9. Like Capcom cares about that at all? They are all eye out for ways to keep making silly remakes that doesn't offer anything unique.

  10. I'm already speaking with a friend in US to see if he's interested in getting the chair. Although, I know he does have something similar but I'm going to try and persuade him.

  11. Seriously, the wallet adjustment point really cracked me up this morning and if you look at it very closely, it's actually true because all they do now is set up ways to suck your money more.

  12. I like how GT does it. You can buy a historic car as if it were brand new in GT6. In older GT games you had used car lots. Either way the info on a car will be historically accurate other than if there's typos. I'm also fascinated by sports what ifs presented by basketball games and their decade all star teams. These teams could say pair up Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain even though they were never NBA teammates. It really depends on what game as to what my answer will be.

  13. No, I don't mind liberties being taken in games. Bioshock, Wolfenstein, Fallout, Civilization etc. are all great games to play, but they're nowhere near historically accurate. It's nice when they are historically accurate, but it's not necessary to enjoy the game.

  14. Agreed, it would be foolish not to include a tutorial in a game, it's essential for newer players to learn how to actually play a game.

  15. I think the biggest thing to gaming in recent years is VR gaming. To me, video games haven't really changed all too much. Sure we've had some additions with rhythm based games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc. And great new mechanics in video games. But I feel video games have been a constant for the past 15-20 years. At least for me, because each new console has been an easy experience for me to adjust to. I guess dealing with online connectivity was a change, but it was more of a welcomed change, to finally be able to play video games online with friends. Aside from that, I think the only adjustments you really got to make is to your wallet, because each new generation consoles cost a ton, and I've never been able to adjust to that.

  17. No, not even to go back to see what it was like to experience gaming for the very first time? I think that'd be unique. But I get that, wanting to go back to the games that started it all for you, a nostalgia trip. I grew up in the 90s, so those games are heavy on my mind, but to go back further and experience the rise in video games, would be cool I think.

  18. Nice, you must have a decent collection going. Do you ever have plans to put them on a shelf? Or are you going to keep them in bins for easier access? I kinda dream of having a game room where I can put up tons of shelves with all the games I have. I just like the idea of seeing all of my games lined up. Plus I also want to put gaming memorabilia around the collection as well. But yeah, I get that. Sometimes it's not easy to display everything, especially if you may have a smaller room or house and can't accomodate a ton of games in one area.

  19. It's becoming unacceptable. Too many studios are doing it, and idk how they feel they can get away with it. I think what they do, is hope the backlash dies down, and they'll just slowly make the game better. Hell, Cyberpunk 2077 still hasn't come out with an official new gen version of the game, and that game dropped a year ago now. And I hope they take another delay if needed. I think they should allow their studios to make the games they want in the time they feel they can. As long as they give the game time to grow, things should go fine. Unless the game turns out to be mediocre or boring. Studios should take their time, make the game how they want to make it. If it takes a while, so be it. I think studios should be given later due dates, just so that they have the time needed.

  20. RDR2 is pretty easy. Sure, some parts are a bit challenging, but for the most part it's not difficult at all. It's more of an emotionally challenging game than a skill challenging game.
